Manufacture of laminated glazing
A process for manufacturing a bent laminated glazing, includes manufacturing a first bent laminated glazing including at least two glass substrates locally comprising, in each of the at least two glass substrates and facing each other in all the at least two glass substrates, a zone including compressive stresses, and cutting the first bent laminated glazing through its entire thickness along a line included in the zone in order to form local cut edges and, after cutting, a second bent laminated glazing with the local cut edges having compressive edge stresses.
LOW PROFILE STENT GRAFT AND DELIVERY SYSTEM
A tubular prosthetic device for implantation into a body lumen includes a first part including a tubular lumen and a second part including an attachment member. The second part is secured to the first part via various configurations, where the device is capable of being reduced to a diameter less than the diameter of traditional devices, for ease of use during implantation. Methods of using the device are also provided.
Quick connect for hose system
Method and system are provided for a quick connector for coupling conduits. The quick connector comprises a first piece including a first slot group, a second piece including a second slot group and a first protrusion group counterpart to the first slot group, and a third piece including a second protrusion group counterpart to the second slot group, where each slot of the first slot group angles in a first direction, and each slot of the second slot group angles in an opposing, second direction. In one example, the quick connector may include a locking mechanism and a feedback system.
PLATE CARRIER APPARATUS AND METHOD
Embodiments include a method and apparatus for mounting wearable ballistic body armor plates and accessories to a user. Embodiments may include a plate frame assembly comprising one or more plate frames and one or more ballistic body armor plates. The one or more plate frames may at least partially house the one or more ballistic body armor plates and hold them in position with respect to the one or more plate frames. A method of embodiments may include providing one or more plate frames and one or more ballistic body armor plates and using the one or more plate frames to hold the one or more ballistic armor plates in a fixed position with respect to the body armor plates. In some embodiments, the plate frame assembly is resistant to the absorption and/or accumulation of liquids and chemicals.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SORTING OF SEEDS
A system for sorting seeds based on their resistance to a stress is disclosed. Batches of purified seeds sorted using the system are also disclosed.
CONTAINER ASSEMBLY HAVING A HEAT-SEALED METAL END, A METAL END THEREFOR, AND A METHOD FOR MAKING SAME
A container assembly includes a container body having a side wall encircling an axis, and a metal end for attachment to an upper edge of the side wall via heat-sealing. The outer peripheral region is shaped prior to application to the container body such that an annular channel is defined between an inner chuck wall and an outer chuck wall of the metal end. The metal end is pushed straight onto the side wall such that the upper edge of the side wall is received into the channel. The surfaces of the side wall and the opposing surfaces of the chuck walls have heat-sealable material thereon. The metal end is heated to melt and fuse the heat-sealable layers, thereby sealing the metal end onto the side wall. The metal end is shaped such that the free edge of the outer chuck wall is not exposed.
SUPPORT FOR GOLF BAG TOWEL
A golf bag including a body defining a housing adapted to receive one or more golf clubs, and extending between a bottom portion and a top portion. The golf bag further includes an attachment mechanism coupled to the body, and configured to secure a first portion of a towel. An auxiliary attachment mechanism is coupled to the body. The auxiliary attachment mechanism is configured to support a second portion of a towel.
Method for assembling vehicle seat with cushion plate
A method of assembling a vehicle seat is provided, comprising: providing a seat back frame; forwardly movably connecting a headrest for supporting a head of a seat occupant to the seat back frame; mounting a rear-end collision detector to the seat back frame at a position behind the seat occupant, operatively connecting the rear-end collision detector to the headrest; disposing a link member at a position lateral to the rear-end collision detector; forming a front extending portion that inwardly extends in a right-to-left direction at a front end of a lateral face of the side frame; and forming a rear extending portion that inwardly extends in the right-to-left direction; wherein a protruding portion is formed from a portion of the lateral face of the side frame that faces at least the part of the bracket, the link support shaft being disposed at a same height as the protruding portion.
Clamp assembly for solar tracker
In an example, the solar tracker has a clamp assembly that is configured to pivot a torque tube. In an example, the assembly has a support structure configured as a frame having configured by a first anchoring region and a second anchoring region. In an example, the support structure is configured from a thickness of metal material. In an example, the support structure is configured in an upright manner, and has a major plane region. In an example, the assembly has a pivot device configured on the support structure and a torque tube suspending on the pivot device and aligned within an opening of the support and configured to be normal to the plane region. In an example, the torque tube is configured on the pivot device to move about an arc in a first direction or in a second direction such that the first direction is in a direction opposite to the second direction.
Reactive treatment cell and systems for environmental remediation
Reactive treatment cells (RTCs) are described in combination with sediment capping systems as a means for environmental remediation. RTCs include an impermeable housing defining an interior, a permeable ceiling and floor typically including filtration materials such as geotextiles, and at least one interior compartment for treatment reagents. One RTC includes a gabion-like cage structure retaining a geomembrane-supported geosynthetic clay liner (GM-GCL) housing, while a second embodiment includes a hard, cylindrical shell as a replaceable reagent cartridge. RTCs may be employed in initial capping system installations or retrofitted into existing capping systems. RTCs may include optional baffles, flow restrictors, floating discs, sensor probes, and two or more serial reagent zones or compartments.
