Golf club head having texture pattern and method for producing the same

Provided are a golf club head and a method for producing the golf club head. The golf club head comprises a striking face that in turn comprises a recurrent texture pattern that has a period T and that is defined by a plurality of depressions, each depression having an average depth no greater than 0.10 mm. The striking face also comprises a plurality of scorelines that at least partially intersect the recurrent texture pattern and that have a scoreline pitch Ps such that T/Ps is greater than 1.0, each scoreline having an average depth no less than 0.10 mm.

Tissue pads for use with surgical instruments

A tissue pad is disclosed including a first component and a second component. The first component includes a first material and a first tissue engaging surface and the second component includes a second material and a second tissue engaging surface. The first component has proximal and distal ends and the second component has proximal and distal ends. The first and second components are separable. At least a portion of a distal end of the first tissue engaging surface is positioned distal relative to the second tissue engaging surface. The first material is different from the second material. The first material has a greater lubricity than the second material. The second material has a greater resistance to heat than the first material.

Positioning apparatus

A method includes moving a sensor and an article at a first speed to position the sensor into a reference position relative to an article fixture. The sensor and the article are moved at a second speed as the sensor approaches the reference position. It is determined when the sensor is in the reference position, wherein the sensor is configured to be in the reference position when a contact is established between the sensor and a surface of the article fixture. The article is moved by a predetermined increment relative to the reference position to position the article in a target position in response to determining that the sensor is in the reference position.

Chuck body, machine center, and method for gripping a work object to be processed

A chuck body includes a base, a fixed gripper finger, a cylinder mount, a slide, and a movable gripper finger. The base includes a planar member. The fixed gripper finger is fixedly provided on the planar member at a position spaced from a longitudinal end of the planar member. The cylinder mount is mounted on the planar member, and includes a cylinder and a linear actuator operably engaging the cylinder to linearly move the cylinder in a longitudinal direction of the planar member toward and away from the fixed gripper finger. The slide is secured to a distal end of the cylinder and is integrally movable with the cylinder. The movable gripper finger is secured to the slide and positioned to cooperate with the fixed gripper finger to grip an associated work object when moved toward the fixed gripper finger by the linear actuator.

A chuck for a machine tool having a rotation spindle with a main axis of rotation. The chuck comprises a base plate, a first rotatable plate eccentrically mounted on the base plate, a second rotatable plate eccentrically mounted on the first rotatable plate, balancing means for aligning a principal axis of inertia of the chuck with the main axis of rotation and a holding mechanism. The chuck is provided with an actuating mechanism for angularly displacing the first rotatable plate around a first rotation axis over a first angle of rotation and/or the second rotatable plate around a second rotation axis over a second angle of rotation such that the position of the object with respect to the main axis of rotation can be altered.

Workpiece processing method

A workpiece processing method includes a carry-in step of carrying a workpiece into the field of view of a magnifier, a work step of performing predetermined work on the workpiece based on an image provided via the magnifier, and a carry-out step of carrying the workpiece out of the field of view of the magnifier. A robot performs at least one of the carry-in step and the carry-out step as well as the work step.

Fire tube installation and removal tool

A tool is provided for removal and installation of a fire tube that extends into an opening in a wall of a heating vessel. The fire tube locates within an interior of the heating vessel when mounted thereto. The fire tube has a tube wall that defines a tube interior and has a mounting end for mounting the fire tube to the wall of the heating vessel. The tool has an elongated main shaft member having an insertion end and an opposite control end. A first support is mounted upon the insertion end that is configured for being closely received within the tube interior. A second support is mounted along the length of the main shaft member, the second support having a fire tube interface configured for engaging and releasably coupling to the mounting end of the fire tube. A lift coupling couples to the main shaft and locates between the second support and the control end of the main shaft member for coupling to a lift line. A counterbalance support carries removable weighting members, the counterbalance support being coupled to the main shaft by a counterbalance support spacing arm that extends laterally from the main shaft member.

TOOLING FOR HOLDING THIN METAL PARTS MAKING UP A HOLLOW STRUCTURE IN ORDER TO ENABLE THEM TO BE FRICTION-WELDED TOGETHER

The invention relates to tooling for holding parts in position to enable them to be friction welded together in order to construct a hollow structure, the tooling comprises: a framework made up of two frames for receiving the parts for welding together in their positions for forming the hollow structure, said parts comprising preformed parts and an intermediate section; shape-holder members for holding the hollow structure, associating backing thrust members and lateral grip members for gripping the outsides of the preformed parts; anvils suitable for being placed inside the set of preformed parts beside the section; and clamping means operable to take up a clamping position in which they cause opposing thrust to be applied against the anvil and the inside face of a preformed part, its part itself bears against the shape-holder members.

Removable hand guard for drilling rig hand tongs

A removable hand guard is provided for installation on drilling rig hand tongs and used to protect the hands of workers from being accidentally crushed when gripping the tong handle. The hand guard can include resilient body and tabs, which allow the guard to be positioned on the tong handle. The hand guard can be locked into place using locks and fasteners. The hand guard can include a slot, which can form a secondary handle to be used by a second worker to maneuver the tongs.
