A method of preventing or treating an inflammatory disease including diabetes type 1 and type 2 in a subject in need thereof is provided. Also provided are pharmaceutical compositions, articles and foods for the treatment of an inflammatory disease.

The fifth phase solution is mixed with cranberry juice, pomegranate juice, and raspberry juice to prepare a sixth phase solution. The sixth phase solution is stored in a ceramic bottle for a least six months at room temperature to prepare a therapeutic balm.
