VALVE ASSEMBLIES WITH INTEGRATED TEMPERATURE CONTROL
A valve control assembly includes a valve body having an inlet adapted to be coupled to a source of process fluid having a first temperature, an outlet, and a fluid flow path extending between the inlet and the outlet, and a bonnet coupled to the valve body. An inlet port, an outlet port, an annular plenum, an inlet passage, and an outlet passage are integrally formed in the valve body or the bonnet. The inlet port is adapted to be coupled to source of media and the annular plenum is disposed between the inlet port and the outlet port, immediately adjacent a portion of the fluid flow path. The inlet passage directs the media from the inlet port to the annular plenum, which changes a temperature of the process fluid flowing through the fluid flow path from the first temperature to a second temperature different from the first temperature.
Fluid system components with thermal conditioning passages
A flow control device includes a body having an upper portion defining a flow passage extending axially along a primary axis between a first end port and a second end port, the flow passage defining a central cavity between the first and second end ports, and a lower portion defining an axially extending thermal conditioning inlet port and an axially extending thermal conditioning outlet port. A flow control element is disposed in the central cavity and movable to control fluid flow between the first end port and the second end port. The body further includes a thermal conditioning passage having a first vertical portion extending from the thermal conditioning inlet port into the upper portion of the body, a circumferential portion extending from the first vertical portion circumferentially around at least a portion of the flow passage, and a second vertical portion extending vertically from the circumferential portion to the thermal conditioning outlet port.
Pipe system including internal heat exchangers
A heat exchanger pipe system is provided for transporting viscous fluids, including a plurality of individual heat exchangers designed as pipe elements and having a predefined control temperature and/or pressure distribution along the pipe system and in the cross-section of the pipes. The heat exchangers, which are in the form of pipe elements, are arranged at regular distances in the pipe system. The regular distances are selected in such a manner that a predetermined temperature and/or pressure distribution is maintained along the pipe system, tempering apparatus of a viscous fluid transported in the heat exchanger pipe are arranged in the heat exchangers and optional mixing elements which are used to maintain, in accordance with the pipe cross-section, a predetermined temperature and pressure distribution in the cross section of the pipes, and at least 30% of the length of the heat exchanger pipe system is equipped with heat exchangers.
Variable orifice flow control device
A variable orifice flow device controls the flow of a fluid between a volute casing and a compressor motor casing in a compressor. The variable orifice flow device may be a shuttling valve, with positions controlled by, for example, valves controlling the flow of the fluid into a space opposite a side within the shuttling valve assembly. The variable orifice flow device may have one or more orifices through which a fluid can enter the compressor motor casing, and the surface area of the orifices may be controlled by the position of the shuttling valve.
Heating a valve body
A valve housing is configured to maintain temperature of a valve. These configurations may incorporate paths or channels in structure of the valve that carry working fluid. Heating fluid, like steam or hot water, may flow through these paths to heat this structure. This feature can maintain or raise temperature of the working fluid to meet specifications, standards, or process parameters. In one implementation, the paths may have complex routes or geometry with curves, bends, or other feature that can maximize surface area that is available to distribute heat to the device. This geometry may require manufacturing techniques, like additive manufacturing, that can generate unitary or monolithic structures, particularly those structures that includes voids in the material to form the integral paths for the heating fluid.
ACTIVELY COOLED VACUUM ISOLATION VALVE
A cooled isolation valve includes a valve body, a stationary element coupled to the valve body, and a movable closure element movable with respect to the stationary element between a closed position in which the movable closure element and the stationary element are brought together and an open position. One of the movable closure element and the stationary element includes a sealing element. In the closed position of the movable closure element, the sealing element provides a seal between the movable closure element and the stationary element. A fluid channel is formed in contact with the movable closure element and movable with the movable closure element with respect to the stationary element, such that a fluid in the fluid channel effects heat transfer in the movable closure element. A bellows of the isolation valve can include a metallic substrate with a ceramic coating.
Vehicle windshield cleaning system
Apparatus for providing a heated cleaning fluid to a vehicle surface includes an inlet port for receiving an amount of fluid, a housing bounding a reservoir in fluid communication with the inlet port, and an outlet port in fluid communication with the reservoir for dispensing an amount of heated fluid. A heater element heats fluid that passes from the inlet port to the outlet port through the reservoir. A heat exchanger in thermal contact with the heater element for conveying heat to the fluid within the reservoir has a strut that divides fluid entering the housing through the inlet port into two flow paths and elongated fins that extend outwardly from the strut at transverse angles that bound fluid flow channels for fluid moving through the reservoir. A control circuit energizes the heater element with a voltage to heat the heating element and the fluid passing from the inlet port to the outlet port through the reservoir.
CIRCULATION PUMP ASSEMBLY FOR A HEATING AND/OR COOLING SYSTEM
A circulation pump assembly for a heating and/or cooling system includes an electric drive motor (108) and a connected pump housing (106) in which at least one impeller (118) is situated and which comprises a first inlet (112) and a first outlet (114). The pump housing (106) includes a second inlet (122) which is connected in an inside of the pump housing (106) at a mixing point (130) to the first inlet (112). A regulating valve (134), which is designed for regulating the mixing ratio of two flows mixing at the mixing point (130), as well as a control device, which controls the regulating valve (134) for regulating the mixing ration, are arranged in the pump housing (106). A hydraulic manifold is provided with such a circulation pump assembly.
Circulation pump assembly for a heating and/or cooling system
A circulation pump assembly for a heating and/or cooling system includes an electric drive motor (108) and a connected pump housing (106) in which at least one impeller (118) is situated and which comprises a first inlet (112) and a first outlet (114). The pump housing (106) includes a second inlet (122) which is connected in an inside of the pump housing (106) at a mixing point (130) to the first inlet (112). A regulating valve (134), which is designed for regulating the mixing ratio of two flows mixing at the mixing point (130), as well as a control device, which controls the regulating valve (134) for regulating the mixing ration, are arranged in the pump housing (106). A hydraulic manifold is provided with such a circulation pump assembly.
