Indicator of the Opening and/or Closing Status of a Tap or a Pressure Reducer
The invention is directed to an indicator (22) of the opening and/or closing status of a device controlling the flow of a fluid, such as a tap or a pressure reducer for compressed gas, comprising a sleeve-shaped support (24) to rotatably engage with a protruding portion (18) of a body of the device and from which an actuating spindle (20) extends along a longitudinal axis of said device; an indicator sleeve (26) axially sliding along the support (24); a rotor (28) to be fixed to the spindle (20) and comprising at its periphery a least one track (32) with a curved profile; and at least one track follower (30) extending radially from the indicator sleeve (26) through a longitudinal slot (242) in the support (24) and engaging with the at least one track (32).
ELECTRICALLY OPERATED VALVE
The invention provides an electrically operated valve which can more accurately detect a position of a valve body. An electrically operated valve is provided with a valve shaft, a valve body, a rotor member which is movable together with the valve shaft in a parallel direction to a first direction, a stator member which applies a turning force to the rotor member, a permanent magnet member which turns together with the rotor member, an angle sensor which detects an angle of rotation of the permanent magnet, and a guide member which guides a relative movement of the rotor member or the valve shaft in relation to the permanent magnet member. A distance between the permanent magnet and the angle sensor is fixed when the permanent magnet member turns.
Citrus juice apparatus with undesired material release detector and related methods
A citrus juice apparatus may include at least one citrus juice processing device. The at least one juice processing device may include at least one juice output having a flow of juice therethrough. The at least one juice processing device upon a malfunction may cause an undesired material release along with the flow of juice into the at least one juice output. An undesired material release detector may be coupled to the at least one juice output for detecting the undesired material release. The detector may operate based upon magnetic proximity sensing of a moving filter plate within a housing of the detector. Alternatively, the detector may operate using a filter plate, and based upon pressure.
Remote actuator device for valve control knob on a tank
A remote actuator device for a valve control knob on a tank (e.g., storage tank) and related method of use are disclosed. The remote actuator devices disclosed may be used to turn the valve control knob on a tank.
Withdrawal System
A withdrawal system (1) for a container (2) and comprises an immersion pipe (4) mounted on and projecting into the container (2) as well as a withdrawal head (5) that is attachable to the immersion pipe (4) by means of a rotary connection. The withdrawal head (5) attached to the immersion pipe (4) is secured by means of a mechanical locking unit.
Diaphragm valve drive
Device for actuating a diaphragm valve, comprising a housing, wherein the housing is preferably formed of a top and bottom part, and further comprising an electric motor, a base board for the fastening of electrical components, a gear unit for actuating the diaphragm valve or the spindle nut of the diaphragm valve, and a position indicator for indicating the degree of opening of the diaphragm valve, wherein the position indicator is driven via the gear unit.
Blowout preventer status assembly
A status assembly to provide visual and electronic indication of the position (open, closed, in-between) of the ram of a ram-type blowout preventer (BOP). The assembly is capable of coupling with a hydraulic motor that can be used to open and close the ram locks. The status assembly includes a rotatable element protruding from the BOP, a gear rotatable by the rotatable element, and an indicator that indicates the rotation position of the rotatable element and thus the linear position of the BOP ram. Some embodiments can also include a sensor that outputs an electronic signal to the system operator and can be incorporated into the main display for the BOP control system. This device is able to give immediate feedback to operators and to indicate whether each ram has achieved its intended travel.
Drive unit with optical waveguide
A device for actuating a valve, comprising a casing, said casing exhibiting a transparent region and said casing preferentially having been formed from an upper part and a lower part, a transmission assembly, an electric motor and a base board for attaching electrical components, wherein LEDs or a multicolor LED and an optical waveguide have been arranged in the casing, preferentially on the base board, the position or another function of the valve being indicated by the LEDs lighting up, and the optical waveguide collimating and focusing the light of the LEDs for the purpose of indicating the position or malfunction.
Visual ram position indicator apparatuses and methods
Apparatuses for providing a visual indication outside a blowout preventer (BOP) relative to a position of ram blocks inside the BOP, and methods of adding such apparatuses to existing blowout preventers are provided. An apparatus has an indicator rod, a detectable portion and a sealing assembly. The indicator rod has an end extending outside an end cap of the BOP, and is configured to engage with a tail rod of a ram block of the BOP, and to switch between a first position when the BOP is in a close state, and a second position when the BOP is in an open state. The detectable portion is located outside the end cap and is configured to provide a visual indication relative to a current position of the indicator rod. The sealing assembly is configured to seal a space inside the end cap from an environment in which the BOP operates.
Hopper tee with wear port
A hopper tee for redirecting the flow of material from one passage to another passage includes a radius providing a transition between the passages. A port at the exterior of the radius includes an upwardly-open cavity having a bottom wall disposed within the radius and forming a sacrificial wall extending between the bottom wall and the inner surface of the radius. The cavity provides an indication that material moving through the tee has worn the wall of the radius by the creation of a passage between the interior of the tee and the cavity and expelling material through the passage to the exterior of the tee. A plug may be secured within the cavity allowing a user to continue to use the tee until the tee is rotated or replaced. The radius may include a thickened wall for providing added structural support and sacrificial material.
