Membrane stacks
A process for preparing a membrane stack comprising the steps of: (i) interposing a curable adhesive between alternate anion exchange membranes and cation exchange; and (ii) curing the adhesive; CHARACTERIZED IN THAT said adhesive, when cured, has a Shore A hardness of less than 70 and an elongation at break of at least 50%.
Collection device and material
Swabs, materials and methods of making same, include randomly arranged sea-island bicomponent fibers. According to certain embodiments, swabs and methods of using such swabs are provided so as to collect and release a biological sample comprising a flock fiber tipped applicator wherein the flock fibers are sea-island bicomponent fibers attached to an end portion of the applicator with an adhesive selected from the group consisting of a photocurable acrylic adhesive and a polyurethane adhesive, the bicomponent fibers being structurally stable in water and the sea component of the bicomponent flock fibers being intact.
Membrane stacks
A process for preparing a membrane stack comprising the steps of (i) interposing a curable adhesive between alternate anion exchange membranes and cation exchange; and (ii) curing the adhesive; CHARACTERIZED IN THAT said membranes are in a swollen state when step (ii) is performed.
GLASS ASSEMBLY
A frame for bonding a first glass component to a second glass component with a desired thickness of adhesive is disclosed. The frame has a horizontal top portion sized to overlap the top surface of the first glass component. The horizontal top portion has a distal surface which is configured to contain the adhesive when poured on the top surface of the first glass component. The horizontal top portion is thicker than the layer of adhesive to be used so that the second glass component may be placed within the frame to abut the distal surface. The frame also has a vertical side portion which extends downward from the horizontal top portion and is sized to wrap around the first perimeter.
Systems and methods for alignment techniques for magnetic cards and devices
Cards may be populated with components and alignment cues. A fully populated card may then be laminated using either of a clear (e.g., transparent) laminate or an obscure (e.g., opaque) laminate. Visual and/or non-visual alignment cues within a card may be utilized to align a trimming and/or singulation device to the card. The card may be singulated and/or trimmed with the aligned singulation and/or trimming device to position one or more components of the card.
Lens array fabrication method, and film containing base plate and film attaching instrument employed in same
A lens array fabrication method for fabricating a lens array includes: receiving pins (16) of a film attaching instrument (jig) in second guide holes (10) of a film-containing base plate; bonding a placement area and an adhesion layer (F); removing the pins (16); causing a detachment between a first detachment film (C) and a pressure-sensitive adhesive optical film (D); separating three layers (D) to (F) from two layers (B) and (C); receiving the pins (16) in first guide holes (7) of a lens array main unit; fitting a film holding protrusion (15) in a depression part (6); bonding the film (D) to a bonding region (i); removing the pins (16); and causing a detachment between the film (D) and a second detachment film (E).
Labelling machine and method with master-slave labelling groups
A labelling machine for applying a first label and a second label onto a first article and a second article is disclosed. The labelling machine comprises a first conveyor for conveying a succession of the first article and the second article along a path; a first labelling group, which can be selectively arranged in a first operative configuration; and gap creating means adapted to create a first gap, which is arranged inside the succession and is bounded between the first article and the second article. The first labelling group is selectively arrangeable in a first rest configuration. The labelling machine further comprises a second labelling group, which can be selectively moved between a second rest configuration and a second operative configuration, in which the second labelling group transfers, in use, the second label to the second article.
Floorboard, system and method for forming a flooring, and a flooring formed thereof
A method of producing floor panels is disclosed. The method includes the steps of separating a sheet formed surface material into surface strips and gluing said surface strips to a core with a space between the surface strips. A method of producing floor panels, wherein the method includes the steps of: separating a sheet formed surface layer material into surface strips; and gluing the surface strips to a sheet of core material to be cut into a plurality of floor panels, and providing a space between the surface strips, and cutting the sheet of core material, at the space, into at least two individual floor panels, forming a mechanical locking system in the sheet of core material at the space.
Method of Producing Sportsball with Sculptural Ball Surface
A sports ball includes a ball body having a valve stem formed thereat, a plurality of carcass panels, a plurality of sculptural bumps is integrally formed on at least a portion of one of the carcass panels to form a sculptural ball surface of the carcass panel, wherein the carcass panels are overlapped on said ball body to form a ball carcass in a stitch-less manner. Accordingly, the sculptural bumps are raised above an outer panel surface of the carcass panel without applying a depression force to indent on the outer panel surface of the carcass panel. The carcass panels are interlocked and bonded with each other edge-to-edge to enclose the ball body inside the ball carcass.
Glass assembly
A glass assembly having a first glass component, a frame overlapping the perimeter and top surface of the first glass component, a second glass component atop the frame, and a layer of adhesive interposed between the two glass components. Also disclosed is a frame for bonding two glass components. Also disclosed is a protective glass assembly for a LCD having a top surface and perimeter. The protective glass assembly having a frame which overlaps the top surface and perimeter of the LCD, a glass component placed atop the frame, and a layer of optical adhesive interposed between the LCD and the glass component.
