SHAFT AND A COUPLING MEMBER FOR COUPLING SHAFTS
A coupling member to couple a first shaft with a second shaft is disclosed. The coupling member may include a flat member having a set of holes positioned along its circumference. The set of holes may include a first sub-set of holes coinciding with holes associated with the first shaft and a second sub-set of holes coinciding with holes associated with the second shaft. Each of the first shaft and the second shaft may include a plurality of rib segments, each rib segment having a hole. The coupling member may be configured to couple with the first shaft via the first sub-set of holes and the plurality of holes associated with the first shaft. The coupling member may be further configured to couple with the second shaft via the second sub-set of holes and the plurality of holes associated with the second shaft.
Valve Features
A method includes disposing a first shaft and a second shaft in an end to end arrangement, positioning a sleeve over the end to end arrangement, coupling the sleeve to the first shaft via a first set of fasteners extending through a first set of radial holes in the sleeve and into the first shaft, coupling the sleeve to the second shaft via a second set of fasteners extending through a second set of radial holes in the sleeve and into the second shaft, and allowing the sleeve to self adjust the alignment between the first shaft and the second shaft while transmitting torsional, translational, or torsional and translational loading through the first set of fasteners and the second set of fasteners.

Shaft Connector Systems and Methods
A method includes disposing a first shaft and a second shaft in an end to end arrangement, positioning a sleeve over the end to end arrangement, coupling the first shaft to the second shaft via the sleeve and a plurality of shear components that engage the sleeve and partially recess into the first shaft or the second shaft, retaining the plurality of shear components in the partially recessed position via one or more retaining mechanisms, and independently aligning the first shaft and the second shaft while transmitting torsional, translational, or torsional and translational loading through the plurality of shear components and not through the retaining mechanisms.
Bar coupler
A coupler or connector for joining bars, for example reinforcing bars, including an elongate rod member adapted to be inserted into a tubular sleeve member. The rod and sleeve members each have one or more transverse holes which align when the rod member is inserted into the sleeve member. In operational use, the rod and sleeve members are attached to the free ends of the bars to be connected. One or more transverse pins are then driven into the holes which are aligned in order to lock the rod and sleeve member together thereby connecting the bars. The pins can be spring loaded. There can be a plastic sleeve adapted to retain the pins in position. The plastic sleeve is slid off during assembly to allow the pins to engage the holes in the sleeve member(s).
