Belt-driven starter-generator
A belt-driven starter-generator includes a rotary shaft, and a pulley belt coupled on an outer peripheral surface of the rotary shaft. A key is press-fitted into a pocket formed between the rotary shaft and the pulley belt so as to fix the rotary shaft to the pulley belt. A coupling member is coupled to a thread formed on the outer peripheral surface of the rotary shaft so as to support one side of the pulley belt. Operational reliability and assembly convenience may be improved by the belt-driven starter-generator of the present disclosure.
Spacers for insulated glass units
This disclosure provides spacers for smart windows. In one aspect, a window assembly includes a first substantially transparent substrate having an optically switchable device on a surface of the first substrate. The optically switchable device includes electrodes. A first electrode of the electrodes has a length about the length of a side of the optically switchable device. The window assembly further includes a second substantially transparent substrate a metal spacer between the first and the second substrates. The metal spacer has a substantially rectangular cross section, with one side of the metal spacer including a recess configured to accommodate the length of the first electrode such that there is no contact between the first electrode and the metal spacer. A primary seal material bonds the first substrate to the metal spacer and bonds the second substrate to the metal spacer.

Quick change wheel assembly for a machine
A wheel assembly is disclosed. The wheel assembly may have a hub with a first spline, a second spline, and a slot separating the first spline and the second spline. The first spline, the second spline, and the slot may extend from a front end to a rear end. The wheel assembly may also have an outer rim configured to mount a tire. The wheel assembly may further have an inner rim extending from a rim front end to a rim rear end. The inner rim may have a notch disposed at the rim front end and a tab disposed at the rim rear end. The tab may slidingly engage with the slot. The wheel assembly may have a locking block, which may slidingly engage with the notch and the slot at the front end. Further, the wheel assembly may have a bolt connecting the mounting block to the hub.
Drive shaft connection assembly
A drive shaft connection assembly includes a first coupler having a top end and a bottom end. The top end has an upper well for releasably engaging a drive shaft. A second coupler has an upper end and a lower end. A post is attached to and extends upwardly from the upper end. An auger connector is attached to and extends downwardly from the lower end. The bottom end has a lower well extending upwardly therein to removably receive the post. The post is rotatable with respect to the first coupler to selectively engage or disengage the first coupler. A sleeve is slidably mounted on the perimeter wall and is removably slidable over the first and second couplers prevent their movement with respect to each other.
Load and torque sensing systems utilizing magnetic key for mechanical engagement
Torque is transmitted by way of a shaft having an axial groove formed as a keyway therein and a key held in the groove by means of a coin-shaped magnet located in a pocket formed in the floor of the groove. A second element, such as a coupling, is configured to receive the shaft and key therein and has a matching keyway.
Electromotive drive unit for motor vehicle applications
An electric motor drive unit for motor vehicle applications, which is equipped with an electric motor having an output shaft substantially circular in cross-section and with a drive element mounted on the output shaft, preferably made of plastic. The output shaft engages a receiving hole of the drive element defining at least one vent hole. According to the invention, the output shaft has, in one variant, at least in the engagement area of the receiving bore, two ridges that are spaced apart from one another and extend axially. A protrusion of the drive element engages between the ridges for rotational coupling. Furthermore, the two ridges each describe a vent hole on the outer edge.
