Impregnated Cloth
A knitted spacer fabric has a tightly knitted bottom layer, a more loosely knitted upper layer and linking fibres extending across the space between the lower and upper faces. Settable material, e.g. cement, is introduced into the space between the upper and lower faces and can be caused to set by the addition of a liquid, e.g. water. Until set, the fabric is flexible and can be shaped but after the material in space has set, the fabric is rigid and can be used as a structural element in a wide range of situations. The bottom layer has an extension that extends beyond the upper face and is connected to the upper face by elastic connecting fibres that draw the extension towards the other face, thereby at least partly closing the space at the edge of the cloth and preventing the settable material from spilling out. In addition, the packing of the settable material and maximum space between the faces are such that only a predetermined amount of liquid can be accommodated within the space and that amount is matched to the water required to set the cement.

A synthetic turf having a mat with a face arranged adjacent to a surface to coat, and a face opposite the face. The turf includes a plurality of blades made of a synthetic material that are connected to the mat. Above the face of the mat, an infill material is provided that is arranged among the blades. The infill material includes a predetermined percentage by volume of a vegetable material consisting of rachis of cereal ear. The infill material also includes a predetermined percentage by volume of a ligninic and/or resinous material of vegetable origin.

Synthetic turf (1) comprising a mat (2) equipped with a first face (2a), which in use is arranged next to a surface (50) to coat, and with a second face (2b) opposite to the first face (2a). The synthetic turf (1) comprises, furthermore, a plurality of filaments (3) knitted to the mat (2) and made of a synthetic material. Above the second face (2b) of the mat (2), furthermore, an infill material (10) is present that is arranged all around the filaments (3) of artificial material. The infill material (10) comprises, in particular at least one layer (15) consisting of a mixture of a predetermined amount of cereal husks, such as rice husks, husks of wheat, husks of rye, husks of oat, husks of spelt, or a combination thereof, and of at least one defibrated arboreus material which is resistant to microbial digestion, such as a loose final product from raw material based on coir, or sawdust of a wood obtained by a raw material with high content of lignin, such as Teck sawdust, Mahogany sawdust, Iroko sawdust, or a combination thereof.
Thermoplastic cellulosic fiber granules useful as infill materials for artificial turf
An artificial turf system has polymeric turf fibers resembling grass, and infill particles interspersed among said turf fibers. At least some of the infill comprises synthetic composite particles containing a thermoplastic polymer and cellulosic fibers, in which thermoplastic polymer is a matrix that binds together the other components of each synthetic particle into a composite particle.

Infill For Artificial Turf System
An artificial turf system includes a turf assembly having a turf backing and stands of artificial grass blades extending from the turf backing to form an artificial turf layer. Infill material is placed in between the blades of artificial grass and on top of the turf backing. The infill material has a composition of sand in an amount within the range of from about 80 to about 98 percent of the infill by dry bulk weight, and organic particles in an amount within the range of from about 2 to about 20 percent of the infill by dry bulk weight.
