Multifunction mat
A multifunction mat includes two outer fabric layers, a resin cotton layer, two non-woven fabric layers, an activated carbon filter layer and a breathable waterproof layer. The outer fabric layers are disposed on top and bottom surfaces of the multifunction mat respectively. The resin cotton layer is sandwiched between one outer fabric layer on the top surface and the non-woven fabric layer and is secured to one outer fabric layer. One non-woven fabric layer is sandwiched between the resin cotton layer and the activated carbon filter layer and the other non-woven fabric layer is sandwiched between the activated carbon filter layer and the breathable waterproof layer. The activated carbon filter layer is sandwiched between the non-woven fabric layers and is capable of destroying odors of air. The breathable waterproof layer is sandwiched between the other outer fabric layer on the bottom surface and the other non-woven fabric layer.
Stitching by inserting curable compliant materials of parts produced via additive manufacturing techniques for improved mechanical properties
Method for the production of a 3D printed object (100), wherein the method comprises (i) a 3D printing stage, the 3D printing stage comprising 3D printing a 3D printable material (110) to provide the 3D printed object (100) of printed material (120), wherein the 3D printing stage further comprises forming during 3D printing a channel (200) in the 3D printed object (100) under construction, wherein the method further comprises (ii) a filling stage comprising filling the channel (200) with a curable material (140) and curing the curable material (140) to provide the channel (200) with cured material (150), wherein the cured material (150) has a lower stiffness than the surrounding printed material (120).
FABRIC PROCESSING METHOD AND COMPONENT
A fabric processing method and component (e.g., a vehicle component) includes providing and/or arranging a first fabric charge and a second fabric charge. A multi-piece fabric assembly is formed for single stage draping by stitching together the first and second fabric charges along a neutral stitching path. The multi-piece fabric assembly is formed into a three-dimensional shape and is then impregnated with a polymeric material to form the component.
Decorative covering material with alignment features
A decorative covering for a vehicle interior panel is made from two sheets of material joined together at a seam. The sheets of material have matching alignment features along respective edges to aid in visual alignment during the joining operation. The alignment features are spaced along the edge of a decorative layer, and cutouts are formed along a corresponding edge of an attached backing layer such that each alignment feature is visible through one of the cutouts when viewed from the back side. The cutouts are larger than the alignment features and formed before the two layers are laminated together, effectively increasing allowable tolerances during lamination. This construction is particularly useful with leather, which is often subjected to cut-and-sew operations and used with a backing layer.
Pad Printed Apparel
A tagless article of apparel formed from a knitted fabric having a selected thickness, the article of apparel having inner and outer surfaces, and a product label pad printed directly on the inner surface from a clich with an ink composition comprising an ink, a solvent, and a hardener, the clich having a depth sufficient to cause the ink composition to penetrate the inner surface of the fabric to a depth less than the thickness of the fabric.
Fiber composite component assembly having at least two plate-shaped composite structures and processes for preparing same
A method for producing a fiber composite component assembly having at least first and second plate-shaped composite structures made from synthetic resin embedded fibers, the at least first and second fiber composite components having a plurality of partial regions not containing synthetic resin is described. The method includes positioning the at least first and second fiber composite components, the partial regions having been brought to flush conformity with each other, bonding the at least first and second positioned fiber composite components by the adhesive layer arranged in between, placing mechanical reinforcement means through the partial regions, infusing the dry partial regions with synthetic resin, and curing the synthetic resin placed in the partial regions.

STRETCHABLE SHEET, WORN ARTICLE USING THE SAME, AND STRETCHABLE SHEET MANUFACTURING APPARATUS
A stretchable sheet 10 includes: a plurality of attached portions 3 spaced apart from each other in the direction of stretch Df, wherein the first surfaces 1f and 2f of a pair of sheets 1 and 2 are attached to each other by being welded without using an adhesive, at the attached portions 3, the attached portions 3 hold elastic members F, and the attached portions 3 extend in a direction Dp crossing the direction of stretch Df of the elastic members F; and a plurality of folds P that appear between the attached portions 3 while the elastic members F are shrunk, wherein a width W3 of the attached portions 3 in the direction of stretch Df is set to be 0.2 mm or more and less than 1.0 mm.
