A multi-layered laminate for producing membranes for electroacoustic transducers, comprises a first layer of a polyether ether ketone film having a heat of crystallisation of at least 15 J/g, a second layer (of a thermoplastic plastic film having a heat of crystallisation of no more than 5 J/g, and an adhesive layer arranged between the first and second layers. Alternatively, the first and second layers are defined by their shrinkage properties after 15 minutes at 200° C.: the first layer has shrinkage of more than 10% in at least one direction, and the second layer has shrinkage of less than 10% in the longitudinal and transverse directions. A laminate constructed in this manner exhibits lower fold formation when processed using multi-cavity thermoforming. The laminates are useful for the production of membranes for electroacoustic transducers.

The bonding force between the second releasing film and the supporting layer is greater than the bonding force between the filling material and the second releasing film.

The polyester sheet in accordance with an aspect of the present invention contains crystals of polyester which is a polycondensate of polyvalent carboxylic acid and polyalcohol. The polyester sheet contains nano-oriented crystals which contain crystals of polyester in each of which a polymer chain is highly oriented and each of which has a crystal size of 50 nm or less. A heatproof temperature of the polyester sheet is higher than a temperature that is lower than an equilibrium melting point of the polyester by 80° C., and a melting point of the polyester sheet is higher than a temperature that is lower than the equilibrium melting point of the polyester by 40° C.

The invention relates to a multilayer biaxially oriented polyester film comprising a base layer B, an amorphous outer layer A and a further outer layer C, where this polyester film is suitable for lamination with metal sheets. The invention in particular relates to a polyester film which comprises (based on the mass of polyester) from 2 to 15% by weight of isophthalate-derived units in the base layer and which comprises more than 19% by weight of isophthalate-derived units in the amorphous layer A, and which has a silane-based coating on the outer layer A. The invention further relates to a process for the production of these films.

In some examples, the invention is directed to a stress and crack resistant component comprising a thermoplastic component, an elongation modifier component and an elongation temperer; in preferred examples the thermoplastic component comprises a polyethylene terephthalate glycol-modified (PETG) copolyester, the elongation modifier component comprises a halogenated polyolefin having a heat of fusion of 1 J/g or less, and the elongation temperer comprises a poly(styrene acrylonitrile) (SAN).

In preferred examples the stress-resistant component is comprised as an coating component covering at least one surface of a substrate, such as one comprising a medium density fiberboard (MDF), a particle board, an oriented strand board, fiberglass, a natural wood, a composite wood product, and a synthetic substrate. The stress-resistant component is preferably, though not invariably, produced by extrusion. The invention is also directed to articles, such as extrusion profiles, comprising the stress-resistant component, and methods of making such articles.

Solventborne filler comprises at least one alpha,omega-hydroxy-functionalized oligoester which possesses an OH number of 30 to 160 mg KOH/g, a theoretical carbon-carbon double bond content of 1 to 3 mmol/g, a number-average molecular weight of 1000 to 3000 g/mol and a weight-average molecular weight of 2800 to 10 000 g/mol, moreover, the sum of the weight percentage fractions of all the alpha,omega-hydroxy-functionalized oligoesters being 0.5 to 10 wt. %, based on the total amount of the solventborne filler. Also provided are a multicoat paint system, a process for producing a multicoat paint system, and use of the above-designated alpha,omega-hydroxy-functionalized oligoester in solventborne fillers for improving adhesion.
