According to the present invention, provided are a molded article formed of a thermoplastic resin composition, the molded article having a mean deviation of surface frictional coefficient of 0.02 or more and 0.08 or less, a mean deviation of surface roughness of 4 μm or more and 12 μm or less, a work of compression of 0.05 gf.Math.cm/cm.sup.2 or more and 0.30 gf.Math.cm/cm.sup.2 or less, a bulk density of 0.20 g/cm.sup.3 or more and 0.70 g/cm.sup.3 or less, an area ratio of through-holes of less than 3%, and a thickness of 10 μm or more and 1000 μm or less, and a laminate having the molded article.

A multilayer polymer film comprising an outer skin layer, an inner seal layer and at least one core layer disposed between the inner and outer skin layer, wherein the outer skin layers comprises a metallocene-catalyzed ethylene polymer having a density of equal to or greater than about 0.945 g/cc and a melt index equal to or greater than 0.5 g/10 min. A multilayer polymer film comprising a metallocene-catalyzed high-density polyethylene homopolymer skin layer and at least one core layer comprising a high-density polyethylene having a melt index of less than or equal to 2.0 g/10 min. A multilayer polymer film comprising at least a skin layer and a core layer wherein the skin layer comprises a metallocene-catalyzed ethylene polymer provided from a catalyst composition comprising a single metallocene and an activator support.

This invention relates to a supported polymer heterostructure and methods of manufacture. The heterostructure is suitable for use in a range of applications which require semiconductor devices, including photovoltaic devices and light-emitting diodes.
Adhesive tape and solar assembly and article made thereof
The invention provides a frameless photo-energy assembly including a photo-energy converter, wherein an edge of the photo-energy converter is sealed by an adhesive tape, comprising an adhering layer for adhesion and cushioning; and an aging-resistant protective layer. The adhering layer is used to contact the edge of an article and comprises: a substrate layer; optionally, a first adhesive layer and a second adhesive layer situated at both sides of the substrate layer oppositely, wherein the first adhesive layer being used to be contact with the article. The aging-resistant protective layer is situated on the adhering layer, which comprises: an optional primer layer, which is situated on the adhering layer; and a film layer, which is situated on either the primer layer or the substrate or the second adhesive layer. The invention further provides an adhesive tape for sealing an edge of an article and an article made of the assembly.

There are provided a phosphor film, a method of manufacturing the same, and a method of coating an LED chip with a phosphor layer. The phosphor film includes: a base film; a phosphor layer formed on the base film and obtained by mixing phosphor particles in a partially cured resin material; and a cover film formed on the phosphor layer to protect the phosphor layer.
Retroreflective colorants
A reflective material comprising a multilayered array of particles encapsulated by a matrix material, the reflective material defining a primary surface, the reflective material exhibiting: (i) visible retroreflection of incident radiation, wherein a wavelength of visible retroreflected radiation decreases from a first visible wavelength at a first angle to the primary surface to a second, shorter wavelength of visible retroreflected radiation as the viewing angle to the primary surface increases; and (ii) Bragg diffraction of the incident radiation, wherein the wavelength of radiation Bragg diffracted normal to the primary surface is longer than the wavelength of visible radiation, such that no visible radiation is retroreflected or Bragg diffracted in a direction normal to the primary surface.
Printable coating
A primer-less coating composition for facestock comprises: a binder being a water-dispersible polymer; an ethylenically unsaturated compound which is aqueous-dispersible and miscible with or bonded to said water-dispersible polymer, wherein said ethylenically unsaturated compound is able to form a covalent bond with an ink; and a crosslinker, wherein said crosslinker is suitable for binding the coating to the facestock. The coating composition may be applied to a substrate to form a printable film. A printed film in accordance with the invention may be used in a label, for example for use on a container such as a bottle.
Use of a transparent composition for photobioreactors
The present invention relates to photobioreactors and more particularly to the use of a transparent composition based on at least one methacrylic polymer for constructing installations for the culture of photosensitive organisms. This composition can be in the form of films, plates, profiled elements or cylinders such as tubes. The invention also relates to a transparent multilayer structure comprising at least one layer of a methacrylic polymer and one layer comprising at least one antifouling additive, and to the use thereof for constructing installations for the culture of photosensitive organisms.
Composite marking based on chiral liquid crystal precursors
A substrate having thereon a marking or layer comprising a cured chiral liquid crystal precursor composition which comprises at least one salt that changes the position of a selective reflection band exhibited by the cured composition compared to the position of a selective reflection band exhibited by a cured composition that does not contain the at least one salt. A modifying resin made from one or more polymerizable monomers is disposed between the substrate and the marking or layer and changes the position of the selective reflection band exhibited by the cured precursor composition comprising the at least one salt on the substrate in the one or more areas. PRINTED ARTICLE AND A FEEDSTOCK
The invention relates to a printed article and a feedstock for printing comprising a matrix forming material, in particular a polymeric material, and a filler material dispersed within the matrix forming material, in which the filler material comprises glass flakes. Glass flakes are characterised as having an aspect ratio of average diameter divided by average thickness greater than or equal to three. Selecting aspect ratio of glass flakes controls an orientation of glass flakes angled relative to a printed layer and formation of a depletion layer in a printed article. Technical effects of angled flakes include better adhesion between successive printed layers in 3D printing and a crack-stopping function. In a preferred embodiment the glass flakes comprise a conductive coating such that a printed article functions as a moisture sensor. Technical effects of a depletion layer include high moisture permeability and so a fast rate of change in electrical resistance due to moisture. A process of manufacturing a feedstock and a process of printing comprising a step of providing glass flakes are also disclosed.
