RADIATIVE COOLING STRUCTURES AND SYSTEMS
Polymer-based selective radiative cooling structures are provided which include a selectively emissive layer of a polymer or a polymer matrix composite material. Exemplary selective radiative cooling structures are in the form of a sheet, film or coating. Also provided are methods for removing heat from a body by selective thermal radiation using polymer-based selective radiative cooling structures.
Deployable temperature controlled shed with remote management
A cold-shed may be deployed in areas with little or no electrical infrastructure in order to provide a cold storage area for perishable goods including agricultural, dairy products, medicines, vaccines, etc. A wireless communication device may be installed in the cold-shed to allow remote management, access control, and monitoring of the cold-shed devices, including cooling units, solar power cells, batteries, power conditioners, and a variety of sensors to determine internal and external temperatures, door positions, and other information. A mobile device configured to communicate with the wireless communication device may receive information and updates via cellular networks or text messaging. The mobile device may also be used to change temperature settings, lock and unlock doors, conduct inventory management and auditing, and make other changes. The corresponding application allows an owner to manage and monitor many cold-sheds from a single mobile device.
Beverage Dispensing System
A beverage dispensing system for selectively dispensing a beverage in a vehicle includes a vehicle that has a cabin and an outer surface. A refrigerator is positioned within the vehicle and the refrigerator contains and cools a beverage. A dispensing unit is fluidly coupled to the refrigerator and the dispensing unit selectively dispenses the beverage. The dispensing unit is positioned within the cabin to be accessible to a driver of the vehicle. A charging unit is coupled to the vehicle thereby facilitating the charging to be exposed to sunlight. The charging unit converts sunlight into electrical energy and the charging unit is electrically coupled to the refrigerator and the dispensing unit.
Solar radiation mitigation system
The present technology generally relates to a solar radiation mitigation system mountable to a furniture element. The solar radiation mitigation system has a panel assembly. The panel assembly has a first panel capable of blocking a first radiation amount, and a second panel in operational relation with the first panel. The second panel blocks a second radiation amount. The panel assembly blocks a combined radiation amount greater than the first and second radiation amounts when the first and second panels are in operational relation. The solar radiation mitigation system comprises at least one adjustable arm comprising a distal arm connector connected to the first panel, a proximal arm connector being detachably attachable to the furniture element for mounting the system to the furniture element, and an elongated member extending from the proximal arm connector to the distal arm connector. The elongated member is adjustable to position and orient the first panel with respect to the furniture element.
