An electric power converter has a first converter terminal, a second converter terminal, a converter switch and a snubber circuit. The snubber circuit comprises a snubber switch and a passive network connected to the snubber switch. The snubber circuit is connected to the converter switch, the first converter terminal and the second converter terminal.

A shunt resistor having sufficient bonding strength includes a resistor, a pair of bases which are integrally formed with the resistor so as to sandwich the resistor, recessed holes which are respectively formed in the bases, and measurement terminals which are inserted into the recessed holes and are affixed to the bases. Each measurement terminal has a shaft part and a flange part that protrudes outwardly in the circumferential direction of the shaft part. Each recessed hole is formed to have a diameter smaller than the diameter of the flange part, and the shaft parts are respectively inserted into the recessed holes.

A power module apparatus includes a power module having a package configured to seal a perimeter of a semiconductor device, and a heat radiator bonded to one surface of the package; a cooling device comprising a coolant passage through which coolant water flows, in which the heat radiator is attached to an opening provided on a way of the coolant passage, wherein the heat radiator of the power module is attached to the opening of the cooling device so that a height (ha) and a height (hb) are substantially identical to each other. The power module in which the heat radiator is attached to the opening formed at the upper surface portion of the cooling device can also be efficiently cooled, and thereby it becomes possible to reduce degradation due to overheating.

Methods and systems are provided for adjusting a vehicle cabin heating system, based on particulate filter (PF) regeneration prediction. In one example, a method includes predicting an amount of exhaust heat that may be recovered via an exhaust heat exchanger during an upcoming PF regeneration event, and prior to the PF regeneration event, adjusting an amount of electric power supplied to an electric heater of the cabin heating system. The amount of adjustment may be based on the predicted amount of exhaust heat that may be recovered.

An exterior structure for a wire harness is provided with a pipe that has an electric wire insertion space that allows an electric wire to be inserted through the inside of the pipe. The pipe includes a diameter reduction portion that is defined by an inward deformation of the pipe in a diameter direction that narrows the electric wire insertion space. In the diameter reduction portion, the clearance between (i) the electric wire that is inserted through the electric wire insertion space of the pipe and (ii) the inner circumferential surface of the pipe can be reduced or eliminated, which suppresses rattling of the electric wire.
System and method for indicating battery age
A vehicle includes a traction battery and a controller. The controller is programmed to output an age value of the traction battery based on a ratio of a reference capacity value to an initial reference capacity. The reference capacity value is derived from a mean and a standard deviation of a plurality of historical battery capacity values and has a predetermined probability of being less than an actual battery capacity. The controller is programmed to adjust a battery control strategy based on the age value. The vehicle includes an instrument cluster that is configured to display the age value.
