Seat belt lock with hall sensor

A seat belt lock with a Hall sensor for detection of a locking state of a seat belt lock having a metal seat belt lock frame arranged in a housing. The seat belt lock frame has an upper part and a lower part, connected to a define slit-like channel. A spring-loaded locking device for an inserted seat belt latch is mounted on the seat belt lock frame. A spring-loaded ejector for the inserted seat belt latch is arranged in the channel. The Hall sensor interacts with a permanent-magnetic component, whose distance relative to the Hall sensor is changeable based on translatory movement of the ejector in the case of actuation of the locking mechanism. The Hall sensor is arranged on or in the seat belt lock frame and is covered by a metal shielding element, which extends essentially parallel to the seat belt lock frame and forms a flow concentrator.

Tongue and seat belt device using same

To enable a tongue to be more compact in size even when a seat-belt locking member is disposed and to achieve satisfactory mountability. A tongue (7) includes a resin mold portion (12) having seat belt lock guide holes (21) and (22). The resin mold portion (12) is provided with a seat belt lock (13) such that it is movable between an unlocking position where it does not lock a seat belt (4) and a locking position where it locks the seat belt (4) while being guided by the seat belt lock guide holes (21) and (22), and the seat belt lock (13) is set in the unlocking position under normal conditions and is set in the locking position in emergency. The seat belt lock (13) is continuously urged toward the unlocking position by a torsion spring (14). In emergency, the seat belt lock (13) is set in the locking position by a pressing force from the seat belt (4) against the urging force of the torsion spring (14).

Rotatable buckle assembly

A rotatable buckle assembly may include a male buckle member, and a female buckle member configured to rotatably connect to the male buckle member. The female buckle member may include a handle that is configured to be pulled to disconnect the first buckle member from the second buckle member.

Belt lock with a state sensor for detection of the locking state of a safety belt system
09555769 · 2017-01-31 · ·

A belt lock is provided with a state sensor for detection of the locking state of a safety belt system, for example in an motor vehicle. The belt lock includes a locking mechanism which is located in a belt lock housing, which is formed from an upper shell and a lower shell, for an inserted belt tongue which has a component which changes its location from a first end position into a second end position when the locking mechanism is actuated. Actuation of the locking mechanism can be monitored by the state sensor. The state sensor is made as an electronic sensor element which is located in the lower shell.

Belt closure and chin strap of a protective helmet equipped therewith

A belt fastener for detachably connecting two belt ends has a housing and a plug, which can be clipped into the housing. The belt fastener can be a safety fastener opening if a predetermined tensile load acts on the belt ends. A separate finger flap is hinged to a front end of the plug for clipping it into the housing. The finger flap preloaded outwards in direction away from the plug by a separate spring. The finger flap can be brought in abutment with a stop surface of the housing by means of a stop surface opposite of the attachment point. Both stop surfaces are tilted forward by an angle of inclination () of >0, particularly of 20. In addition, two stop surfaces can be convexly or concavely curved.

The buckle arrangement comprises a casing, an insertion slot for inserting a latch into the casing, a locking mechanism for locking the latch and a release element for releasing the locking mechanism, allowing releasing of the latch. The locking mechanism is enclosed in the casing and the insertion slot is adapted for guiding the latch to the locking mechanism. The buckle arrangement further comprises an insertion frame surrounding the insertion slot and a buckle frame surrounding the insertion frame and the release element, wherein the insertion frame is connectable to the casing in such a way that a portion of a skin of the seat is clampable between the insertion frame and the casing. The disclosure further relates to a seat for a vehicle or vessel comprising such a buckle arrangement.

Retainer apparatus for use with a pilot chute launcher and method for packing a parachute using a pilot chute launcher and retainer apparatus
09533660 · 2017-01-03 ·

An apparatus facilitating packing of a racecar parachute using a pilot chute launcher, the apparatus comprised of a slotted metal plate, a pair of notched tabs, and a pair of extensions selected to removably couple with the notched tabs and the plate. In use, the notched tabs, notched sides facing away from one another, are positioned and affixed to opposing sides of a parachute bag bottom plate. The parachute and pilot chute launcher are packed into the parachute bag. The extensions are inserted into opposing slots on the plate, and by engaging the extensions with the notched tabs, the pilot chute launcher is compressed. A top and a bottom flap of the parachute bag is secured over the plate in a usual fashion. The extensions and the plate are sequentially removed, and the parachute is continued to be packed in the usual fashion.
