Patch-sized fluid delivery systems and methods
A patch-sized fluid delivery device may include a reusable portion and a disposable portion. The disposable portion may include components that come into contact with the fluid, while the reusable portion may include only components that do not come into contact with the fluid. Redundant systems, such as redundant controllers, power sources, motor actuators, and alarms, may be provided. Alternatively or additionally, certain components can be multi-functional, such a microphones and loudspeakers that may be used for both acoustic volume sensing and for other functions and a coil that may be used as both an inductive coupler for a battery recharger and an antenna for a wireless transceiver. Various types of network interfaces may be provided in order to allow for remote control and monitoring of the device.
Method of manufacturing a fluid end block with integrated web portion
A method of manufacturing a fluid end block for a high pressure reciprocating pump, including forming, from a single-piece forging of a steel alloy, a main body having an outwardly facing body forward face, an outwardly facing body rear face opposite the body forward face, and opposing side surfaces connecting the forward face and the rear face, and a plurality of chambers; forming a web portion protruding outwardly from the outwardly facing body forward face, the web portion having an outwardly facing web forward face and a curvilinear side surface; forming a plurality of bosses protruding from the web forward face and having a forward facing end; and forming a plunger bore extending through each of the plurality of bosses from the forward facing end of the respective boss to one of the plurality of chambers in the main body portion, each plunger bore configured to receive a reciprocating plunger.
Adhesive and peripheral systems and methods for medical devices
A repeater system may control a pump by using a repeater and a user interface. An adhesive patch system may be used for affixing a pump or other object to a human body. Such an adhesive patch system may include two sets of adhesive members, each member including an adhesive material on at least one side so as to attach to the body. The members of the first set are spaced to allow the members of the second set to attach to the body in spaces provided between the members of the first set, and the members of the second set are spaced to allow members of the first set to detach from the body without detaching the members of the second set. Also, fill stations and base stations are provided for personal pump systems.

Packing Assembly for a Pump
A header ring for use in a stuffing box comprising an annular body portion of an elastomeric material, an annular radially inward projecting sealing lip portion formed on said body portion and an annular, axially facing pedestal portion formed on said body portion, said pedestal portion defining an annularly extending radially inwardly facing pedestal surface, the sealing lip portion defining an annularly extending, radially inward facing sealing surface, the sealing surface and the pedestal surface forming a juncture, at least a portion of the pedestal portion adjacent the juncture and forming the pedestal surface and at least a portion of the sealing lip portion adjacent the juncture and forming a portion of the sealing surface being comprised of a layer of reinforced elastomeric material bonded to the body portion.
Wearable pump assembly
A wearable infusion pump assembly includes a reusable housing assembly, and a disposable housing assembly including a reservoir for receiving an infusible fluid. A releasable engagement assembly is configured to allow the reusable housing assembly to releasably engage the disposable housing assembly. A detachable external infusion set is configured to deliver the infusible fluid to a user.

Diffuser assembly for upward, downward and radial pump protection
A diffuser subassembly for use in downhole submersible pump assemblies includes a bearing set for supporting a drive shaft of the pump assemblies. The bearing set includes a sleeve for supporting the drive shaft in upward, downward and radial directions. The sleeve includes a central flange captured axially between a pair of bushings fixed to a diffuser body. Axial loads from the drive shaft may be transferred through the central flange of the sleeve to one or the other of the bushings into the diffuser body to accommodate upward and downward thrust forces. The bushings may be keyed to discourage rotational motion with respect to the diffuser body.
Turbine cap for turbo-molecular pump
Systems here include cone shaped turbine caps mounted to a turbo molecular turbine assembly. In some embodiments, the turbo molecular turbine assembly includes a body with a top cavity, a bottom cavity and external fins, the body mounted to a pump rotor. In some embodiments, the turbo molecular turbine assembly and cone shaped turbine cap are configured to fit into a chamber and spun by the mounted pump rotor. In some embodiments, the turbine external fins are configured to pump gasses and suspended particles from the chamber when spun. And in some embodiments, the cone shaped turbine cap includes a vent channel for venting air from the top cavity.
