Impeller, rotary machine including the same, and method for manufacturing impeller
An impeller including: blades disposed in a circumferential direction of the impeller; a disk located close to a second end side of an axis of the impeller with respect to the blades, to which the blades are attached, and configured to be attached to a rotating shaft; and a shroud located close to a first end side of an axis of the impeller with respect to the blades, and to which the blades are attached. Flow passages are formed by the blades, the disk and the shroud. The blades, the shroud and a first portion of the disk close to the second end side of the axis of the impeller are integrated so as to form a first member. A second portion of the disk close to the first end side of the axis of the impeller forms a second member.
INCREASED CAPACITY SPHERICAL LINED BEARINGS
A rotary system and method to control feathering movement of a rotor blade. The system having a yoke arm configured to rotate a rotor blade. A first bearing and a second bearing are utilized to secure the rotor blade to the yoke arm and are configured to restrict longitudinal and transverse movement, while allowing feathering movement of the rotor blade relative to yoke arm.
Propeller with lightening strike protection
A propeller blade assembly including a propeller blade having a leading edge, and a trailing edge extending between a tip and a hub, and an electrically conductive band extending longitudinally on either or both of the leading edge and trailing edge. The electrically conductive band secured to the leading edge of the propeller serves as an entry point on the aircraft and conductive channel into the airframe thereby avoiding the potentially damaging effect of the lightening on the carbon fiber composite propeller.
Turbine engine impeller
A turbine engine rotor wheel including a disk including at least one slot formed in its outer periphery for mounting roots of blades, a presser being mounted between each blade root and a bottom of the slot. The presser is bistable in position and is capable of occupying a first stable position for assembly and disassembly in which it does not exert a force on the blade root, and a second stable position in which it exerts a radial force on the blade root to hold the blade stationary and to stabilize the blade in a final position.
Bucket assembly for use in a turbine engine
An assembly for use in a turbine engine is provided. The assembly includes a first bucket, a second bucket circumferentially adjacent to the first bucket, a shroud extending between the first and second buckets, and an aerodynamic shell substantially encircling the shroud such that a cavity is formed between the aerodynamic shell and the shroud.
Bladed rotor wheel for a turbine engine
A bladed rotor wheel for a turbine engine, the rotor wheel including a disk including, formed in its outer periphery, at least one slot for mounting the roots of blades, and a spacer mounted between each blade root and a bottom of the slot. The spacer includes at least one member of type that is bistable in position and that can occupy a first stable position for assembly or disassembly in which the member does not exert force on the blade root, and a second stable position in which the bistable member exerts a radial force on the blade root. The spacer also includes at least one resilient damper member mounted between the bottom of the slot and the blade root.
