Threaded connection of high-pressure fluid-carrying components of an injection device for internal combustion engines
In a method for producing a threaded connection between a first component and a second component of an injection device for internal combustion engines, which are each provided for carrying high-pressure fluid, an internal thread is formed on a tubular end portion of the first component, into which the second component can be screwed and clamped against a resting surface of the first component, the second component having formed thereon an external threaded portion for engaging the internal thread of the tubular end portion, an outer ring imparting an elastic prestress acting in the radial direction is pressed onto the tubular end portion, and the components are subsequently screwed together.
Floating nipple assemblies for wax free installation of new and existing toilets
A new floating nipple assembly 200 comprises: a set of floating nipples 210 or threaded adapter sleeves, the floating nipples having inner voids and exteriors of outer male threads 214; a seal body 100 comprising ear assemblies 110 defining ear voids 220, the ear voids having inner female threads 222; closet bolts 230 inserted through a soil pipe flange 300, the closet bolts inserted through the ear voids 220, nipples 210 and a toilet base 410; and integrated cap nuts 500 placed over the toilet base 410 and frictionally attached to the ends of the closet bolts 230. Disclosed embodiments provide for wax free installation of toilets in either new construction or in retrofit projects. The floating nipple assemble system allows a plumber to effortlessly adjust the height of the seal body by merely rotating the floating nipples within the ear voids of the seal body.
Fuel nozzle and method of repair
A modular fuel nozzle tip for a gas turbine engine includes a body defining one or more fuel conveying passages extending therethrough, an annular cap having a radially inner shoulder surface interfacing with the peripheral end surface of the body to define a plurality of air channels extending through the head portion of the modular fuel nozzle tip. At least two fasteners fasten the annular cap to the body.
Material dispense tips
A dispense tip for low-volume dispensing is formed according to a process. The process comprises forming a hole through a length of a neck formed of a body of material; forming an inlet hole at a distal end of the hole, the inlet hole having a first inner diameter; forming an outlet hole at a distal end of the inlet hole, the outlet hole having a second inner diameter less than the first inner diameter, a first inner taper transitioning the inlet hole from the first inner diameter to the second inner diameter; forming an outer taper having a width that decreases along a longitudinal axis of the length of the hole in a direction of a distalmost end of the outlet hole; and reducing a width of an opening at the distalmost end of the outlet hole to a third inner diameter that is less than the second inner diameter.
