Roof vent with an integrated fan
10465930 · 2019-11-05 ·

A roof vent member with an integrated fan assembly is disclosed. The roof vent member includes an upper plate having fasteners that extend downward below a roof deck when installed to allow for access to the fan assembly from underneath the roof deck. Thus, the fan assembly may be installed, removed, replaced, maintained, etc. from underneath the roof without having to get on the roof or otherwise disrupt the roof envelope. The roof vent may include the upper plate, a subflashing, the fan assembly, sealing elements, screens, and other features. A secondary roof vent member may be included which may include solar panels. Associated methods of using the vent members, such as installing, removing, and replacing the vent member or various components thereof, are further disclosed.

A tool configuration 91 for producing an improved locking system of a floor panel 1 and a method incorporating such tool configuration. The tool configuration 91x, 91y, is a non-rotating tool configuration profiling certain surfaces of the joint edge of the floor panel, resulting in that the tolerances can be kept on a low level.

Nut and a method of use of the nut in a fastener system for crane mats

The present invention pertains to a nut to be used as part of a fastener to be used in multiple ways in various industries or methods. The nut has a drive mechanism and stud extending from the drive mechanism with a threaded bore. In addition the nut can be specifically used as a method and as part of special fastener that can be used to join cut, hard-wood members, other naturally occurring manufactured mat members or synthetically man made members, referred to as timber(s) or laminated, in forming a mat used for heavy construction equipment to run on over ground which is not stable. These mats are commonly referred to as Crane Mats or Laminated Mats in the construction, mining, pipeline, and oil and gas industries among others.

A method of assembling resilient floorboards is disclosed that includes the step of bending an edge of a floorboard during the assembling. The bending reduces the force required for connection of the edge to another edge of a juxtaposed floorboard. The floorboards may be provided with a mechanical locking system for vertical and horizontal locking of two adjacent floorboards.

Sill pan

A method for forming a sill pan is provided that includes the measurement of a width and length of an opening sill to be sealed. A piece of flexible sill pan material is cut based on the measured opening sill. Fold lines and cuts are created in the piece to form the sill pan. The resulting sill pan is readily formed to have at least one attribute of self-adherence, draining without shims, nail hole self-sealing, and provision of dams without resort to frame cutting.

Automated spacer frame fabrication

Method and Apparatus for fabricating a spacer frame for use in an insulating glass unit. One of a multiple number of possible spacer frame materials is chosen for the spacer frame. An elongated strip of the material is moved to a notching station where notches are formed at corner locations. The character of the notches is adjusted based on the selection of the metal strip material and more particularly to achieve bending of the material in a repeatable, straightforward manner. Better control over the notching process is also achieved by exhaust flow control of a double acting cylinder. A positioning spacer achieve very accurate side to side positioning of a die and anvil to precisely notch and deform the metal strip. Downstream from the notching station the metal strip is bent into a channel shaped elongated frame member having side walls. Further downstream a leading strip of channel shaped material is severed or separated from succeeding material still passing through the notching and bending station.

System and Method for Mounting Undercabinet Ventilation Hood

A ventilation hood is mounted to an underside of a cabinet by left and right support brackets each including a main body from which depend at least one support tab or hanger, as well as a locator tab. The main body is aligned on the cabinet, while the locator tab appropriately spaces the support bracket from an upstanding rear wall. Thereafter, the ventilation hood is positioned so the support tabs are received in slots formed in a top panel of the hood and, upon sliding the hood rearward, the hood rides upon ramped or tapered surfaces of the support tabs to position the hood against the cabinet while hanging the hood from the support tabs. Thereafter, the support tabs are bent to retain the ventilation hood in an operational position. Employing the distinct aligning, positioning and hanging structure enables a single person to readily mount the ventilation hood.

Method of forming extruded tubing for vehicle body component

A method is disclosed for forming an aluminum alloy vehicle body component. An aluminum alloy billet is extruded into an aluminum tube that includes longitudinal weld seams formed in a sidewall of the tube during extrusion. A weld seam locating pip is also formed on a sidewall of the tube during extrusion. The pip is used to locate the weld seams during manufacturing of the body component.
