Methods of forming hollow extruded vehicle frame component for subassembly attachment
A frame component of a vehicle, such as a header beam that couples between the A-pillars of a vehicle frame, includes an extruded hollow member having top and bottom exterior walls and side walls that together enclose an elongated internal volume of the hollow member. A pair of interior walls extends along the internal volume separating outer load sections adjacent to the side walls from a central attachment section. The outer load sections are void of apertures for supporting continuous load paths. A formation on the bottom exterior wall protrudes into the internal volume in the central attachment section. The formation includes an inset surface angled, located, and otherwise configured for attaching a subassembly to the frame component.
Lath stapling system
A cost-effective and expeditious method for attaching a water channel layer to lath pre-installation, for subsequent application to an inner wall structure, increasing the efficiency and decreasing the cost of building construction, and also encompasses the stock material made thereby. In one form, there is a stapling frame equipped to be placed in juxtaposition to a water channel layer atop a layer of lath on and adjacent surface. A plurality of staplers mounted to the frame then combine the water channel layer and lath to form an integrated stock material that can then be used in a wall structure.
Framework structure for a vehicle door in particular a vehicle side door
A frame structure for a vehicle door and a method of manufacture thereof is disclosed. In particular, a vehicle side door includes at least two tubular parts which are flexurally deformed in the direction of their longitudinal extension and connected to each other to form a ring structure. The ring structure incorporated into a structural unit with the frame structure and a crash reinforcement in a vehicle door of a motor vehicle.
Resilient floor
A method of assembling resilient floorboards is disclosed that includes the step of bending an edge of a floorboard during the assembling. The bending reduces the force required for connection of the edge to another edge of a juxtaposed floorboard. The floorboards may be provided with a mechanical locking system for vertical and horizontal locking of two adjacent floorboards.
Solar-powered ridge vent fan unit
A solar powered fan kit is provided for installation in a roof and in the ridge of the roof. The solar powered fan kit includes a fan attached to a fan bracket. The fan bracket is configured to be suspended from a roof within a ridge vent of the roof. A solar panel is attached to the roof to supply power to the fan.
Energy absorption device for aircraft structural element
A device for absorbing kinetic energy for an aircraft structural element undergoing a dynamic impact. The device includes an outer enclosure made from a braided composite material configured to preserve its integrity after an impact, and a foam core contained in the outer enclosure and to at least partially fill the outer enclosure. The foam core configured to at least partially absorb the kinetic energy generated by the impact. Reinforcing elements include at least one dry composite fiber preform integrated into the foam core to dissipate, in combination with the foam core, the kinetic energy generated by the impact. A method for integrating the device for absorbing kinetic energy.
Board with pre-applied sealing material
A board with preformed seals. In an exemplary embodiment, a sealing material is applied to at least one edge of a board to form a preformed seal on that edge. The board is configured such that when the board is attached to a frame adjacent to a another board, at least a portion of the sealing material applied to the edge of the board seals against at least a portion of an edge another board. In one exemplary embodiment, the boards are configured to seal against edges of substantially identical boards. A plurality of the sheathing boards may be installed on a building frame to form a sheathing system that provides a moisture and/or gas barrier between and interior and exterior of a building.
System and method for mounting undercabinet ventilation hood
A method for installing a ventilation hood to an underside of a wall cabinet including providing a ventilation hood having a housing, a removable utility structure with an aligning mechanism and at least one hanger stud. The removable utility structure is placed proximate the wall cabinet in at least one measuring position, wherein the aligning mechanism of the removable utility structure locates anchorage points of the ventilation hood. Hanger studs are secured in the anchorage points. The removable utility structure is secured to the housing in a structural position at least partially covering an electrical system of the ventilation hood. The housing is placed on the hanger studs to secure the ventilation hood proximate the wall cabinet. Electrical power is connected to the electrical system while the housing is secured on the hanger studs. The housing of the ventilation hood is then secured to the wall cabinet.
System and method for aft mount of gas turbine engine
The present disclosure is applicable to all vehicles having an engine mounted therein. In one embodiment, an aft mount system for a gas turbine engine is disclosed. The aft mount system includes a vehicle chassis and at least one flexible mounting member disposed within the vehicle chassis, wherein when a gas turbine engine is received within the vehicle chassis, an exhaust portion of the gas turbine engine is substantially mounted within the vehicle chassis through engagement with the at least one flexible mounting member.
Door sill unit and method for an elevator landing door unit
The door sill unit includes a bottom support, a support construction extending upwards from the bottom support and a support member being supported by a pivot on the support construction so that the support member can be rotated around the pivot between a first position and a second position.
