A device which can slide up and down on a chain or cable, can be loosened to attach to the chain or cable, but does not have any parts that come free when the part is loosened. The device includes first and second pieces, each made of structural material, the first and second pieces fitting together at concave and convex surfaces, to form an interlock forms inner surfaces with a through hole of a first shape that can slide along either a cable or a chain.

Embodiments provide a veneer dryer system and methods of constructing, relocating, and replacing veneer dryers and other constructs such as lumber kilns, machinery, and processing lines or parts thereof. Embodiments of a veneer dryer system may include a track and a veneer dryer movably coupled with the track. The track may extend between the desired location of the veneer dryer and a construction location. Movers may be coupled with the track at the construction location. The veneer dryer may be partially or fully constructed on the movers and moved to the desired location for use. A pre-existing veneer dryer at the desired location may remain operational during the construction and removed before the new veneer dryer is moved into place, substantially reducing downtime and costs as compared to prior methods of replacing veneer dryers.

An enhanced material-processing device and method are disclosed, having a processing tool of substantially circular circumference, which is operative with a power tool having a rotating spindle and jaws, which clamp the processing tool. The enhanced material-processing device has a central opening that is entered concentrically in the processing tool for receiving a clutch mechanism, and a hub structure. The hub structure is associated with the clutch mechanism to form a slip clutch that is integrally mounted in the enhanced material-processing device and is operative by application of an axial compression friction fit on the processing tool, which slips relative to the rotating spindle when a threshold torque limit is reached. The clutch mechanism is preloaded in axial compression through a predetermined elastic strain distance to provide a friction fit having a torque limit threshold, which torque limit of the slip clutch is controllably pre-adjustable.

In a method of manufacturing an intermediate shaft including: an internal shaft having an external spline; a tubular external shaft having on an inner circumference thereof an internal spline; and a resin coating provided on the external spline, a central axis line of an internal shaft manufacturing intermediate product and a central axis line of an external shaft manufacturing intermediate product are aligned with each other, and the internal shaft manufacturing intermediate product and the external shaft manufacturing intermediate product are held in such a way that the central axis lines thereof can be adjusted, in a heating adaptation step. In this state, the internal shaft manufacturing intermediate product and the external shaft manufacturing intermediate product slide relatively in an axial direction. In the heating adaptation step, a grease is interposed between the internal shaft manufacturing intermediate product and the external shaft manufacturing intermediate product.

A driving and steering axle of an off-highway vehicle includes an attached track rod assembly incorporating an actuator housed in spaced apart annular mountings of an axle drive head casing. One mounting includes a slot to permit through passage of one end of the assembly with a pre-attached track rod end.

Barrel adapters for safety syringes include a barrel and a plunger assembly adapted to move within the barrel, a barrel tip adapted to be sealingly engaged with a distal end of the barrel and a needle retraction mechanism barrel having a needle subassembly and an actuator subassembly. A latch is provided including a buffer, a latch housing, and an actuator housing coupled to the latch housing. The buffer includes a center portion and a first side portion. The actuator housing includes a cavity having a first opening. The cavity is configured to receive the buffer. When the buffer is installed in the cavity, the center portion of the buffer abuts an interior surface of the cavity and the first side portion of the buffer extends through the first opening into a hollow interior of the actuator housing.
