In certain embodiments, a vial adaptor for removing liquid contents from a vial comprises a piercing member and a bag. The bag can be contained within the piercing member such that the bag is introduced to the vial when the vial adaptor is coupled with the vial. In some embodiments, the bag expands within the vial as liquid is removed from the vial via the adaptor, thereby regulating pressure within the vial. In other embodiments, a vial comprises a bag for regulating pressure within the vial as liquid is removed therefrom. In some embodiments, a vial adaptor is coupled with the vial in order to remove the liquid. In some embodiments, as the liquid is removed from the vial via the adaptor, the bag expands within the vial, and in other embodiments, the bag contracts within the vial.

Insulating glass units with low-E and antireflective coatings, and/or methods of making the same

Certain example embodiments of this invention relate to insulating glass (IG) units including three substantially parallel spaced apart glass substrates, wherein at least two of the surfaces include low-emissivity (low-E) coatings and at least some of the non-low E coated surfaces have antireflective (AR) coatings disposed thereon. In certain example embodiments, low-E coatings are provided on the second and fifth surfaces of the IG unit, and each internal surface of the IG unit that does not support a low-E coating does support an AR coating. Additional AR coatings may be provided on one or both of the outermost surfaces in certain example embodiments. In some cases, the center substrate need not be heat treated because of the reduced absorption enabled by providing the low-E coatings on the two outermost substrates, as well as the reduced heat accumulation in the center lite itself and in the two adjacent spacers.

SYSTEMS COMPRISING BONDED LAYER UTILIZED IN A CRUDE OIL SERVICE OPERATION

A method for installing a device into a crude oil service operation, the method may include installing the device into a section of the crude oil service operation, wherein the device comprises a surface comprising a bonded layer coating, and may also include contacting the surface with the contaminant, wherein the contaminant is selected from the group consisting of paraffins and asphaltenes, and wherein the bonded layer is a molecularly bonded layer or a covalently bonded layer. Various systems include one having a liquid environment of paraffins and asphaltene, and a surface residing within the environment comprising a bonded layer composition. Systems also include pipelines and vessels having an internal surface therein comprising a bonded layer composition, and with hydrocarbon liquids present in the pipeline or vessel.
