Method for Producing a Housing Enclosing a Control Unit
The invention relates to a method for producing a housing (7) enclosing a control unit (8) by mechanically forming a starting material (1), wherein the control unit (8) is configured to control particularly a vehicle headlight, comprising the following steps: a) providing an essentially strip-shaped, preferably metal starting material (1), wherein the starting material (1) is subdivided into at least three subareas (4, 5, 6) adjacent to one another, which are separated by fold axes (11, 13); b) forming cooling fins (4a) on a first subarea (4); c) forming a housing bottom (5a) on a second subarea (5); d) forming a housing cover (6a) on a third subarea (6); e) carrying out a folding operation, in which the first subarea (4) is folded about the first fold axis (11) onto the second subarea; f) attaching the control unit (8) to the second subarea (4) [sic]; g) carrying out a folding operation, in which the third subarea (6) is folded about the second fold axis (13) onto the second subarea; h) fixing the first subarea (4) to the second subarea (5) and fixing the second subarea (5) to the third subarea (6) with at least one fixing element (16).
Electric pulse tool
An electric pulse tool for performing tightening operations, where torque is delivered in pulses to tighten a screw joint, includes an output shaft, a sensor arranged to determine a parameter value associated with the tightening of the screw joint, a processor, and a memory containing instructions executable by the processor. The electrical pulse tool operates to provide torque pulses on the output shaft in a first direction until the determined parameter value associated with the tightening of the screw joint reaches within or above a predetermined first interval including a target parameter value. The electrical pulse tool also operates to provide at least one torque pulse on the output shaft in a second direction that is opposite to the first direction in case the determined parameter value exceeds the target parameter value within a predetermined second interval.
TENSION FED FASTENER INSTALLATION TOOL AND RELATED METHODS OF USE
An installation tool and related methods are provided. The tool can pull a strip of collated fasteners along a collated fastener path to a guide, where individual fasteners are sequentially separated from the strip and advanced into a workpiece. The tool can include a tension feeder located downstream of the guide. The tension feeder is configured to apply tension to the strip between the guide and a leading end of the strip. The tool can include a driveshaft configured to attach to a conventional drive tool chuck or a drive tool having hexagonal type drive components. The guide can be one piece and replaceable, with a guide body and a guide head. A strip slot can be defined in the same to align a fastener head with a backstop and facilitate entry of a fastener shank in a feed slot. Related methods of use are provided.
Chair assembly with upholstery covering
A chair assembly includes an arm assembly that includes an armrest supported by a vertically adjustable support assembly and an arm base, where the arm base extends at an acute angle with respect to a longitudinal centerline of the chair assembly, an upholstery arrangement including a ring member attached to a cover, where the ring member includes a plurality of reliefs having a width that reduces as the ring member is wrapped about a shell member of the chair assembly, and a control arrangement having a biasing member that moves through an arcuate path as the biasing member is adjusted between varying bias settings.
Method of using a split winglet
A method of using a split winglet includes providing an aircraft having a winglet attach fitting attaching a split winglet to a wing. The split winglet has an upper winglet and a lower winglet. The method additionally includes maintaining the winglet attach fitting and winglet at a first height relative to a fuselage when the aircraft is non-flying, and moving the winglet attach fitting and winglet to a second height relative to the fuselage when the aircraft is flying, the second height being higher than the first height.
MOUNTING SYSTEM FOR SINK
A mounting system for securing a sink to a countertop supported by a cabinet is provided. The mounting system includes a receiving structure configured to be supported under a rim of the sink, a bracket having a first portion configured to engage a portion of the cabinet and a second portion configured to engage a bottom of a basin of the sink, a linking member extending between the receiving structure and the bracket, a first connector configured to engage a first end of the linking member and retain the linking member relative to the receiving structure, and a second connector configured to engage a second end of the linking member and secure the bracket against the cabinet and the bottom of the basin of the sink.
Adjustable Depth Anchoring System for an Underwater Light
An underwater dock light having an adjustable anchoring system having a capturing assembly with an upper capturing housing located opposite a lower capturing housing. The upper capturing housing can have at least one cord opening configured to receive a cord. The upper capturing housing can have a cord capturing structure. The cord is configured to contact a portion of the cord capturing structure. A fastener is configured to connect the upper capturing housing to the lower capturing housing. The cord is captured between the cord capturing structure of the upper capturing housing and a surface of the lower capturing housing. An anchoring weight is configured to connect to the capturing assembly. The anchoring weight has an opening. The upper capturing housing and lower capturing housing are configured to retain the anchoring weight.
Single Cover Passive Mattress Spinner
A system is disclosed for facilitating maneuvering of a mattress with respect to a foundation. Systems may include two separate covers; a single cover; a single cover in combination with a surface embedded in the mattress or foundation; or embedded surfaces in the mattress and the foundation. One or more of the covers may include a slick surface, and one or more of the embedded surfaces may be a slick surface, to facilitate maneuvering of the mattress.
Method of covering a portion of a fastener protruding from a surface
A method of covering a portion of a fastener, protruding from a surface, that comprises providing a cap comprising a wall, a base, an interior, at least partially delimited by the wall and the base, and pawls, located in the interior of the cap.
