Method for making a window covering having operable vanes
A method for manufacturing a window covering for an architectural opening is disclosed. The covering including a support, at least one vane, and at least one operating element. The method for manufacturing the covering includes extending the vane across the support; extending the operating element along a length of the support, and coupling the covering to a roller for selective rotative movement for extending and retracting the covering during use. The operating element being movable with respect to the support. In use, an upper portion of the vane is fixed with respect to the support while a lower portion of the vane is fixed with respect to the operating element so that the lower portion of the vane is movable relative to the upper portion by moving the at least one operating element.
Fan clutch system and method for accessing components of the fan clutch system
Some embodiments of a fan clutch system for use in a vehicle can provide efficient access to one or more components for inspection and service even after the fan clutch system is installed in the vehicle. In particular embodiments, the fan clutch system can include a fan clutch device and a coil retainer assembly that are removably mounted to a right-angle gear box assembly in a manner that permits a technician to accessing at least one component for inspection, repair, or replacement. The coil retainer assembly may at least partially house an electromagnetic coil for selective activation. The system may further include a fan clutch device removably mounted to the drive member of the gear box assembly.
Method for forming bicycle frame assembly with integral fastener passage
A method for forming a bicycle frame assembly having a number of elongate tubes is disclosed. A two part mold can be used to form a hollow finish part as part of the assembly. The assembly includes a passage that is defined by the elongate member, a partition, and a bridge. The partition isolates the passage from an interior volume of the elongate tube. The bridge extends in a direction normal to an elongate direction of the passage and defines an inlet and an outlet of the passage. The inlet, outlet, and bridge are generally flush with an exterior surface of the elongate tube and provide a passage that cooperates with a flexible connector, such as a cable tie, for securing supplemental structures, such as brake and shift control cables, to the elongate tube of the bicycle frame assembly.
Devices for generating skin grafts
The invention generally relates to methods for manufacturing components for use in a device for generating substantially planar micrografts. The methods of the invention provide for the manufacture of substantially uniform components for a cutter contained within the device, the cutter configured to cut a blister in order to produce a substantially planar graft.
Handrail mounting system
A handrail system includes an elongated rail member; a plurality of attachment elements slidably carried on a back side of the elongated rail member; a plurality of brackets; and a plurality of pins wherein each pin is engageable through a distal end portion of a bracket to fix the attachment element to the bracket. According to the system, the brackets can be pre-mounted at spaced-apart positions onto a wall using fasteners, and then the rail member, with the carried attachment elements, can be mounted to the brackets by slidably adjusting the attachment elements along the rail member to register with the corresponding brackets. A pin is used at each attachment element/bracket pair to fix the attachment elements to the brackets and thus the rail member to the wall.
Connector system
A connector system facilitates the connection of a first tree trunk to a second tree trunk of an artificial tree system. The connector system can prohibit rotation of the first tree trunk relative to the second tree trunk.
Method for manufacturing a cable component
An embodiment of a method for manufacturing a cable component includes providing at least a pair of shaped wire members, passing the wire members through at least one shaped roller set, providing at least one cable portion, placing the wire members over the cable portion and running the wire members and cable portion through an assembly roller to form a subassembly, and attaching a fixing element to the subassembly to secure the wire members and cable portion to complete the cable component.
Safety rail system and method for using same
Embodiments of the disclosure provide a safety rail. The safety rail may include a body disposed on first and second adjustable boots. The first and second adjustable boots may be adapted to secure the safety rail to an excavation support structure. The body may include a lower rail connected to the first and second adjustable boots.
Tube fitting assembly
A tube fitting for sealing an end of a tube uses a notch formed in the exterior surface of the tube as a sealing seat. An internally threaded body is configured to receive an externally threaded end of a nut, while the body and the nut are mounted in a surrounding relationship to the tube end. A ferrule mounted between the nut and the tube is forced to plastically deform and move into the notch to thereby seal the tube end.
Hardware mounting bracket, assembly and hardware
A hardware mounting bracket is provided with a bracket body adapted to be mounted to a support surface. A rigid retainer is provided on one end of the bracket body to receive hardware supported thereon. At least one elongate biasing retainer is provided on another end of the bracket body spaced apart from the rigid retainer, to engage hardware supported thereon and to provide a loaded surface contact with hardware supported thereon. A hardware mounting assembly, hardware for mounting to a support surface, and method for mounting hardware are also provided.
