Arrangement and a method for inserting and removing a head of a measuring device to and from a process space
An arrangement and method are disclosed for inserting and removing a head of a measuring device to and from a process space. The arrangement includes a measuring device with a measuring head and a retractor tool connected to a valve member. The retractor tool includes rails, a cradle for receiving the measuring device and arranged to slide along the rails, and a driving mechanism for moving the cradle. A valve lock mechanism prevents opening of the valve member if the measuring device is not at a location barring a fluid flow from the process space, and the head of the measuring device is insertable to the process space when the measuring device is received in the cradle.
Boiler tube clamp and method of using same
A boiler tube clamp including a first U-shaped midsection configured for pressing against one side of a boiler tube, a first hinge member arranged on one end of the first midsection, a threaded bolt hingedly attached to the other end of the first midsection, and a second U-shaped midsection configured for pressing against the other side of the boiler tube. The clamp further includes a second hinge member arranged on one end of the second midsection and hingedly connected to the first hinge member so that the first inner surface and the second inner surface close toward one another. A lip extends radially out from the second midsection and a jackscrew extends through the lip for adjusting the distance a boiler tube contained by the clamp extends into a boiler through a boiler header.

The invention relates to a device for installing and removing a component on a gas turbine, having a rail system on which in particular a rotor can be displaced along a predetermined displacement axis, and having a terminal positioning part which is fixedly connected to the rail system. The positioning part has at least one guide portion which is designed to co-operate mechanically with a respective counterpart guide portion on the housing of the gas turbine, in order to achieve a suitable orientation of the device with respect to the housing of the gas turbine. The positioning part also has at least one connecting section which is designed in each case to form a fixed but releasable connection to a respective counterpart connecting section on the housing of the gas turbine construct.

The linear displacement unit includes a hollow tube which is guided in the housing. An electric drive unit electrically operates the linear displacement unit. A device for handling a shaft forming a pivoting link between two parts, including a body configured to be inserted into the shaft, and blocked in translation with respect to the shaft along a longitudinal axis in a first direction, a compression nut screwed onto a threaded outer portion of the body along the axis in a second direction opposite the first direction, a bearing member positioned against one of the parts, and a return member configured to be compressed between the compression nut and the bearing member by the screwing of the compression nut and to be decompressed in the second direction under the action of the compression nut. This device allows the shaft of the pivoting link to be handled rapidly, and makes it possible to control the load applied onto the shaft during the handling thereof.

Boiler Tube Clamp and Method of Using Same
A boiler tube clamp including a first portion having a first substantially U-shaped midsection with a first inner surface configured for receiving and pressing against one side of a boiler tube, a first hinge member arranged on one end of the first midsection, and a threaded bolt hingedly attached to the other end of the first midsection, and a second portion having a second substantially U-shaped midsection with a second inner surface configured for receiving and pressing against the other side of the boiler tube. The clamp further includes a second hinge member arranged on one end of the second midsection and hingedly connected to the first hinge member so that the first inner surface and the second inner surface close toward one another. An open slot is arranged at the other end of the second midsection configured for detachably receiving the threaded bolt. A lip extends radially out from an outer surface of the second midsection and arranged adjacent to an edge thereof. A jackscrew extends through the lip for adjusting the distance a boiler tube contained by the clamp extends into a boiler through a boiler header.

A plug removal device for removing a plug from an access port located below a deck includes retracting means and a framework supporting the retracting means at an elevated position with respect to the deck. The framework is rigid and has a central axis. The retracting means produces a retracting force along a retracting axis. In response to the retracting means producing the retracting force, the framework moves along the deck to align the retracting axis with the central axis.
