Electromotive linear drive in the form of a dual drive
09732833 · 2017-08-15 · ·

An electromotive linear drive in the form of a dual drive adjust movably mounted parts of reclining and seating furniture. Two threaded spindles (2, 3) driven by a worm gear and which are arranged one behind the other and flush with one another for displacing a lifting element. Bearings are provided at both ends of each threaded spindle (2, 3). The bearings are designed as roller bearings (4, 5) having an inner ring (6) and an outer ring (7). The aim of the invention is to design an electromotive dual drive in such a way that a short overall length is achieved and that the stability of the structure is increased. Said aim is achieved by arranging an abutment between both roller bearings (4, 5), which accommodate the spindle ends, on which the roller bearings are supported on from both sides.

Linear Actuator

A method of attaching the adjustment mechanism of a linear actuator with the drive assembly of the linear actuator without the use of traditional assembly techniques such as threaded fasteners, welds or rivets, so that when the adjustment mechanism and drive assembly are aligned and assembled, they lock together.

Clamping apparatus

A clamping apparatus includes a main shaft, at least two pushing members, a follow member movably sleeved on the main shaft, a coupling member fixedly sleeved on the main shaft, at least two first linkages respectively pivoted to the follow member, at least two second linkages, and a nut. Each of the at least two second linkage is pivoted to the corresponding first linkage, the coupling member, and the corresponding pushing member. The nut is movably sleeved on the main shaft and positioned at a side of the follow member away from the coupling member. The nut is configured to move the follow member towards the coupling member, to enable the at least two pushing members to move away from the main shaft.

Spindle drive for an adjustment element of a motor vehicle

A spindle drive for an adjustment element of a motor vehicle is provided. The spindle drive has a drive unit and a spindle-spindle nut transmission arranged downstream of the drive unit in terms of drive for generating linear drive movements. The drive unit has a tubular drive unit housing and therein a drive motor. In some cases an intermediate transmission is arranged downstream of the drive motor in terms of drive. The drive unit and the spindle-spindle nut transmission are arranged one behind the other on the geometrical spindle axis, and a spindle drive housing is provided with a tubular inner housing and a tubular outer housing. The inner housing runs in a telescope-like manner in the outer housing. In some cases the outer housing of the spindle drive housing accommodates the drive unit with the drive unit housing and is connected to the drive unit.

A linear actuator is configured to provide the moving force for adjustable furniture, such as beds, chairs, or tables. The linear actuator includes a drive assembly, rigid arm, and linkage assembly. The rigid arm includes a pusher block with one or more attachment projections where the linkage assembly is attached.

Gear nut adjustment assembly

A gear nut adjustment assembly is provided that receives and powers an adjustable jaw assembly for purposes of making or breaking a tubular connection. The adjustable jaw assembly is capable of receiving pipes of various diameters through an automated means. In one example of an implementation of the invention, the gear nut adjustment assembly of the present invention includes a housing for mounting a nut assembly at one end and a motor at the other end. The housing includes a front and rear housing where the front housing has a mounting assembly for mounting a nut assembly. The nut assembly includes at its rear end a ring gear. The rear housing further includes a drive gear positioned in between the front and rear housing in engagement with the ring gear of the nut assembly. The drive gear is driven by the motor attached to the back of the rear housing and, through engagement with the ring gear on the nut assembly, rotates the nut assembly to adjust the jaws of the adjustable jaw assembly.
