To improve a fresh sense of use, an excellent feeling of use of hydrophobic powder, color development, transparency, ultraviolet shielding ability, and the like. In production of a cosmetic containing, respectively, 1 wt % or more of water and hydrophobic powder, (A) hydrophilic nonionic surfactant as monoether compound of branched higher alcohol having 12 to 20 carbons and polyoxyethylene group and (B) water are mixed, and then mixed with (C) hydrophobic powder.
Cosmetic compositions for skin
The present disclosure relates to anhydrous cosmetic compositions comprising: a) From about 0.1% to about 2% of one silica silylate; b) From about 0.1% to about 5% of allantoin; c) From about 0.1% to about 5% of at least one fatty substance; d) From about 2% to about 30% of at least one emulsifier; e) From about 20% to about 30% of at least a first silicone having a viscosity from about between 2 cst to about 70 cst; and f) From about 50% to about 95% of at least a second silicone; wherein all weight percentages are based on the total weight of the cosmetic composition.
Surface-modified effect pigment and nail varnish composition
The invention relates to a surface-modified effect pigment comprising particular additives and to the production thereof. The present invention further provides a nail varnish composition comprising a) at least one effect pigment that has been surface-modified with a starting material (additive), where the effect pigment comprises a substrate in platelet form and optionally at least one coating applied to the substrate, b) at least one hydrocarbon resin as binder, and c) at least one solvent or solvent mixture, where the starting material (additive) for surface modification of the effect pigment is at least one compound taken from the group consisting of phosphoric ester-containing, phosphonic ester-containing, phosphonic acid-containing, fatty acid-containing and/or silane-containing compounds or mixtures thereof.
HYDROPHILIZED INORGANIC POWDER AND COSMETIC INCLUDING HYDROPHILIZED INORGANIC POWDER
Provided are: a hydrophilized inorganic powder having favorable properties while reducing the blending amount of a surfactant; and a cosmetic including the hydrophilized inorganic powder. A hydrophilized inorganic powder including an inorganic powder as a base material, a hydrophobic coat that covers the surface of the inorganic powder, and a hydrophilic coat that covers the hydrophobic coat, wherein the composition of the hydrophilic coat is a nonionic surfactant(s) having a hydrophilic moiety and a carbon chain moiety, and has a branched structure sufficient for imparting self-dispersibility in the carbon chain moiety is provided.
OIL-IN-WATER EMULSION COSMETIC
An oil-in-water type emulsified cosmetic and a method of making can be prepared in a system not containing a silicone and is surprising produced without a wet-type dispersion apparatus by using a specific combination of the oil component constituting the oily phase and a hydrophobizing agent for a hydrophobized powder. The composition includes an aqueous phase; an oily phase dispersed in the aqueous phase; and a powder dispersed in the oily phase. The oily phase comprises a volatile hydrocarbon in oil in a combined amount of 40% by mass or more with respect to the total oil content. The powder has a surface hydrophobized by treatment with a metallic soap consisting of a higher fatty acid and a divalent metal, or by a composite treatment with a higher fatty acid and a divalent metal hydroxide.
Water-in-oil type emulsion cosmetic
The present invention provides a water-in-oil type emulsion cosmetic which has a fresh and smooth feeling to the touch; forms a uniform coating film once applied; can make skin unevenness such as pores look less prominent while covering discolorations such as age spots and freckles; and does not give an impression of thick application. The water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic is characterized by including (A) 0.1-10% by mass of a pigment-grade titanium dioxide and (B) 0.01-2% by mass of sodium acrylate grafted starch. It is preferred that this cosmetic further includes (C) spherical particles and/or (D) a silicone elastomer.
Cosmetic composition comprising composite sunscreen particles
The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition comprising, at least: (i) at least one composite pigment comprising at least one small particle with a mean particle size of more than 100 nm and less than 1 μm, preferably less than 600 nm, and more preferably less than 400 nm, wherein the surface of the small particle is at least in part covered with at least one coating layer comprising at least one inorganic or organic particulate solid UV filter; (ii) at least one organopolysiloxane elastomer; and (iii) at least one oil absorbing agent with oil absorption capability of 1 ml/1 g or more in an amount of more than 1% by weight relative to the total weight of composition.
OIL-IN-WATER TYPE EMULSION COSMETICS
Provided is an oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic composition having a high UV protection or blocking effect (particularly, boost effect of SPF value) and excellent water resistance and the like of a film (e.g., cosmetic film) without impairing the tactile sensation or the feeling of use particular to the oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic composition. The oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic composition comprises: (A) a carboxylic acid-modified silicone in a liquid form at 50° C., (B) a vinyl-based polymer emulsion, (C) a basic compound, and (D) an inorganic UV protecting agent consisting of hydrophobic fine particulate metal oxide. The oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic composition is useful.
