20240041710 · 2024-02-08 ·

The present invention provides resin beads that can provide various types of products, such as a cosmetic having excellent tactile impression, such as spreadability on the skin, moist feeling, and softness, and having high stability such that such tactile impression is kept over a long period of time, that can be substituted for resin particles composed of a synthetic material derived from petroleum, and that have favorable biodegradability. The present invention also provides various types of products, such as a cosmetic, using the resin beads. The resin beads are obtained by surface-treating, with a solid surface treatment agent, core beads formed with a resin containing cellulose as a main component, and have a cumulative 50% particle size on a volume basis of 50 m or smaller, a degree of sphericity of 0.7 to 1.0, a degree of surface smoothness of 70 to 100%, and a degree of crystallinity of 60% or less. In addition, the present invention provides a product of any one of a cosmetic, a dermatological preparation, a paint, a shaped article, a film, a coating agent, and a resin composition which contain the resin beads.

Provided are personal care compositions comprising a core polymer, at least one inner shell polymer, and an outer shell polymer providing SPF boosting and opacity, wherein the core polymer comprises polymerized units derived from monoethylenically unsaturated monomers containing at least one carboxylic acid group and non-ionic ethylenically unsaturated monomers, and the inner and outer shell polymers comprise polymerized units derived from non-ionic ethylenically unsaturated monomers and aliphatic monomers selected from the group consisting of allyl acrylate, allyl methacrylate, and mixtures thereof.

Composite powder in which porous polymer is impregnated with scoria powder particles, cosmetic composition containing same, and process for producing same

The present invention relates to a composite powder of scoria powder and a porous polymer. More particularly, the present invention relates to a composite powder (scoria sphere) in which the surface and the inside of a porous polymer are uniformly impregnated with scoria powder particles prepared by spraying in one-step a dispersion in which scoria powder is dispersed in a solution in which a polymer is dissolved; a cosmetic composition containing the same; and a process for producing the same. When the scoria impregnated powder, of the present invention, in which the porous polymer is uniformly impregnated with the scoria powder particles, is formulated as a cosmetic composition, the porous polymer supplements the sebum absorption performance of the scoria miniaturized in a micro size, and thus the sebum absorption power is greatly improved.

SPRAY-DRIED DYE COMPOSITIONS, PROCESS FOR THE PRODUCTION AND USE THEREOF

The invention relates to spray-dried, washfast dye compositions (preferably in the form of pigment powders) having a bleeding rate of 0.5% and consisting of water-soluble functional dyes, preferably food dyes, which are firmly incorporated in a silica matrix. Apart from low bleeding of dye, these compositions are remarkable for their high stability to pH changes and/or ascorbic acid. The invention is also directed to the production of the dye compositions and the use thereof. The dye compositions are preferably employed in coloring foods, cosmetics, pharmaceutical products, but also in other uses.

COATED PARTICLE, METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME, AND COSMETIC

The present invention relates to coated particles in which vegetable wax is provided on the surface of starch particles. The coated particles have an average particle diameter d.sub.1 of 0.5 to 20 ?m and a maximum particle diameter d.sub.2 being less than 30 ?m and less than 4.0 times the average particle diameter d.sub.1. The vegetable wax is contained in an amount of 0.5 to 10.0 wt % in the coated particles. Accordingly, particles having excellent feel characteristics and water repellency can be achieved with a natural material having excellent biodegradability. A method for producing coated particles includes: a step of preparing a dispersion that contains 1 to 20 wt % of starch particles; a step of adding vegetable wax to the dispersion and heating and cooling the mixture to precipitate the vegetable wax on the surface of the starch particles; and a step of subjecting this dispersion to solid-liquid separation to obtain coated particles as a solid.

PROBIOTICS REVITALIZING SYSTEM FOR SKINCARE

An inedible and dry dormant state encapsulated probiotic core-shell particle for external, non-mucosal skin application is provided. From inside out, the core-shell particle has a structure of a carrier particle core serving as a nutrient source for probiotics, a first layer including a dormant probiotic species for affecting epidermal biome and at least one prebiotic as a food source for the probiotic, a polymer layer positioned over the first layer, and a dissolvable protective layer for protecting the probiotic core-shell particle from oxidation, heat and humidity. By co-applying with a releasing medium, the dissolvable protective layer and the polymer layer are dissolved to expose the dormant probiotic containing layer, the first layer. Further, the releasing medium also is able to activate and reconstitute the dormant probiotic to a live probiotic on the applied non-mucosal epidermal surface.
