A method, system, and apparatus for providing sterilization, decontamination, and therapeutic treatment may be provided. These may include a misting, vaporizing, spraying, foaming or other dispensing apparatus to cover a person, a surface, and enclosure, a room or other structure with an antimicrobial solution. Radiation sources, such as lights, may be utilized to expose the antimicrobial solution to a certain wavelength of radiation. The combination of the antimicrobial solution and the certain wavelength of radiation may create a synergistic reaction that causes an effect greater than the radiation or solution separately. A container or passageway including an apparatus dispensing a solution so that an object or person is saturated with an antimicrobial solution. The person or object is then exposed to a certain wavelength of radiation that creates a synergistic reaction between the solution and the radiation.

Methods, devices, and systems for treating bacteria with mechanical stress energy and electromagnetic energy

A portion of a treatment device for treating bacteria may be coupled with the bacteria through direct or indirect contact. Mechanical stress energy and electromagnetic energy are generated with the treatment device, and are transmitted from the treatment device to the bacteria during the coupling. The bacteria are treated with both the mechanical stress energy and the electromagnetic energy to produce a killing effect on the bacteria. A treatment device may include a mechanical stress energy emitting portion, an electromagnetic energy emitting portion, and a contacting portion for coupling into direct or indirect contact with the bacteria and transmitting mechanical stress energy to the bacteria during the coupling. The mechanical stress energy emitting portion and the electromagnetic energy emitting portion are operable to treat the bacteria with a combination of mechanical stress energy and electromagnetic energy to produce a killing effect on the bacteria.

A method and device are presented for providing patient safe light to a wound. The device includes a radiation source producing flora lethal radiation wavelengths, a radiation conduit detachably optically coupled to the radiation source, and a patch remotely located from the radiation source configured to at least partially conform to a surface contour of the wound. The patch includes a flexible panel formed of a radiation transmitting material able to withstand sterilization, including at least one surface with a disturbed surface area configured to emit radiation upon the wound.
