Air Treatment Module
In an illustrative embodiment, an apparatus for treating air discharged to a passenger suite of an aircraft includes an enclosure that houses components for treating air passing through the enclosure and a detachable cover connected to the enclosure that provides access to the components. Air treatment components associated with air treatment flow paths within the enclosure include a blower with a fan that draws air through an air intake on the enclosure. An air duct is affixed to a discharge of the blower and directs the air discharged from the blower through an air treatment flow path that includes a scented cartridge with a scented medium that is absorbed into the air passing through the air duct. An air exhaust port is attached at a discharge end of the air duct that discharges the air conditioned by the scented cartridge through an air exhaust vent on the enclosure.
Fragrance Sampler
A system and method for producing a fragrance. The system may include body having a plurality of chambers defined therein. Each chamber may include a fragrance accord. A circuit and a plurality of emitters may be positioned within the body. The emitters may be connected to and controlled by the circuit, and each of the emitters may be positioned adjacent to a corresponding one of the chambers and control ejection of the fragrance accord therein.
REFILL AND METHOD OF EMITTING TWO OR MORE COMPOSITIONS FROM A REFILL
A refill comprises, a container having a body forming a reservoir and an opening in communication with the reservoir, a first composition disposed within the reservoir, a second composition disposed within the reservoir and substantially separated from the first composition, a single wick in contact with the first and second compositions and configured to sequentially emit the first and second compositions. A method of emitting the first and second compositions includes the steps of emitting the first composition until the first composition is substantially depleted and emitting the second composition after the first composition is substantially depleted.
Perfuming compositions
The aspects presented herein provide fragrance compositions having an olfacive profile that changes with time, wherein the fragrance compositions comprise at least two contrasting perfume accords that provide an olfactory modulating effect, wherein the perfume formulation delivers a desirable scent with increased perceived intensity and improved longevity of perception.
DIGITAL AROMA CASSETTE CARTRIDGE AND MATRIX DISPERSION SYSTEM FOR REMOTE CONTROLS
The present invention is directed to a digital aroma system that provides a scented air on demand to various devices in various forms and user held devices including: remote controls, video game controllers and mobile computing devices. Dry fragrance infused substrates are contained in fragrance cartridges that are removably mounted in a cassette that is connected to a manifold that has airway passages that are connected to fans or pumps that are controlled by a computer processor. In response to a fragrance control signal or a fragrance trigger, the processor can selectively direct scented air having a specified fragrance to a system user.
Volatile composition cartridge replacement detection
A volatile composition dispenser and methods of detecting the replacement of a cartridge of volatile composition are provided. The cartridge of the volatile composition dispenser includes one or more reservoirs, with each reservoir containing a volatile composition. A method of volatilizing the volatile composition includes operating the evaporative assistance elements with varying energy over a total emission program. Replacement of the cartridge by a user when the volatile composition dispenser is disconnected from an external power source is detected in order to reset the total emission program when reconnected to the external power source.
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR SELECTIVELY PROVIDING AN ODOR-RICH ENVIRONMENT
A device for selectively providing an odor-rich environment includes a housing and a cover. The housing includes a central cavity and a plurality of chambers configured to store a predefined fragrance therein and having a respective outlet formed on an outer wall of the housing. The cover includes an exterior surface having at least one vent formed on the exterior surface. The exterior surface includes an interior sidewall and an exterior sidewall forming an inner chamber that slidably engages the housing such that the cover is configured to move between an open position and a closed position. Responsive to the cover being in the open position, the at least one vent is generally adjacent to the outlet of at least one of the plurality of chambers of the housing. The odor-rich environment can assist in preventing and/or treating postoperative delirium (POD) postoperative cognitive dysfunction (POCD), and/or pain in a subject.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL SYSTEM AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL METHOD
An environmental control system includes: an air conditioner for adjusting a temperature in a space in which a subject is located; and a control apparatus which performs control that makes a parasympathetic nervous system of the subject dominant over a parasympathetic nervous system of the subject by performing first control and second control using the air conditioner. The first control increases the temperature in the space, and the second control cyclically changes the temperature in the space in such a manner that a temperature difference from a largest value to a smallest value in the space falls within 3 degrees Celsius.
ADAPTIVE FRAGRANCE DISPENSER
A dispensing device comprising a body with an attachment mechanism configured to connect to a subject, a reservoir disposed inside the body, a removable selected fragrance disposed inside the reservoir, a dispenser coupled to the reservoir, a controller coupled to the dispenser and configured to dispense the selected fragrance, and a plurality of sensors on the body configured to provide data streams to a smart device.
Scent dispenser/absorber
A scent absorber/dispenser is disclosed. The scent dispenser/absorber has a housing having a base and a cover that cooperate to form an interior chamber of the housing. The dispenser can take the form of an individual dispenser/absorber housing, or a dual dispenser absorber made of two housings are arranged in piggyback (i.e., back-to-back) fashion. The interior chamber of each scent dispenser/absorber is configured to receive scent means adapted to perform either a scent-absorbing function or a scent-emitting function. To use the scent dispenser/absorber, the cover of one or more housings can be moved away from its respective base to expose diffusion ports in a sidewall of the base, thereby permitting desirable scents to flow from the corresponding scent means of the one or more housings to the surrounding environment, or undesirable odors in the surrounding environment to flow into the aforesaid scent means.
