The scent control device accepts as input, one or more conditional inputs carrying information about the local conditions around the scent control device, such as weather conditions, elevation, barometric pressure, or functional status of the scent control device. Operational programs corresponding to the conditional inputs may be automatically selected based on the combination of conditional inputs to cause the output parameters of the scent control device to match or take into account the local conditions. The scent control device then outputs scent control material such as ozone at a rate effective to control one or more scents to a level that is not perceivable by animals or humans.

The present invention provides an air cleaner comprising: an outer housing defining an inlet and an outlet; an inner housing disposed in the outer housing and formed to be separated from the outer housing; a fan installed in the inner housing to forcibly discharge air in the outlet direction; a photocatalytic filter installed in the inner housing and disposed in the direction in which air from the fan is discharged or in the direction opposite to that in which the air is discharged; and an ultraviolet light source disposed upstream of the photocatalytic filter in the direction of airflow created by the fan in order to irradiate the photocatalytic filter with ultraviolet rays.

The gas flows through the fluidized bed, and titanium dioxide particles are introduced to the fluidized bed to form a fluid mixture of the particles and gas in the fluidized bed. The particles are reacted with the gas in the fluid mixture to form particles including titanium dioxide and nitrogen. The particles can be disposed along an air flow path in operative communication with a light source for air treatment.

This invention discloses novel means of maximizing the utilization of blower power and UVC lamp power toward the destruction of pathogens. The resulting efficiencies facilitate the construction of high flow rate air sterilization systems for large buildings while also facilitating the miniaturization of UVC air sterilization systems for incorporation into personal protective equipment (PPE).
