Pipe that is friction forge bonded to a walkway or ladder through a stud and a bracket
In some implementations, an apparatus comprises a pipe, a stud that is forge-welded to the pipe, creating a forge-welded stud, a bracket that is operably coupled to the forge-welded stud, and a walkway operably coupled to the bracket.
INFLATION SYSTEM FOR TUBELESS TIRES
An inflation system for tubeless bicycle tires may include a valve, a sealant canister, a pump head, and/or a valve core adapter. The valve, sealant canister, and pump head may collectively facilitate sealant injection into a tire by a user. The valve has an external valve seat, and includes a valve body, a valve stem extending through the length of the valve body, and a retaining mechanism for the valve stem disposed interior to the valve body. The valve stem is configured to move relative to the valve body, such that a resilient seating surface disposed at a proximal end of the valve stem is displaced relative to a valve seat formed by an exterior surface of a proximal end of the valve body.
Trigger mechanism for a valve assembly
A valve assembly is provided, the valve assembly comprising a body that defines a fluid flow path between an inlet and an outlet with a frangible member between the inlet and the outlet across the fluid flow path so as to block fluid flow The valve assembly also includes a member for rupturing the frangible member, a spring biasing the rupturing member into contact with the frangible member and a member for retaining the rupturing member away from the frangible member. A magnet is spaced apart from the retaining member, and a non-magnetic sleeve is disposed between the magnet and the retaining member. The non-magnetic sleeve blocks a magnetic field provided by the magnet. Also included is a trigger for removing the non-magnetic sleeve, wherein, when the non-magnetic sleeve is removed, in use, the magnetic field attracts the retaining member to release the rupturing member to cause rupture of the frangible member.
TOILET COUPLING
A toilet that includes a tank; a bowl; a mounting bracket comprising a base and three mounting locations; a valve having a valve body extending through the tank and an opening in the mounting bracket; a valve nut coupled to the valve body with the base of the mounting bracket retained between the tank and the valve nut; a flexible gasket disposed around the valve nut between the mounting bracket and the bowl; and three fasteners disposed externally to the tank, wherein each fastener extends through one mounting location and a hole in the bowl to couple the mounting bracket to the bowl; where the three mounting locations are arranged to provide both a pitch adjustment and a roll adjustment of the tank relative to the bowl about respective first and second axes m response to adjustment of one or more of the three fasteners.
Systems and methods for a reed valve module and a modular reed valve assembly
A reed valve module includes a module body and a reed petal. The module body includes a seating surface located on a first side of the module body and a sealing face located on a second side the module body. The reed petal is positioned adjacent to the second side of the module body and adapted to seal against the sealing face when the reed petal is in a closed position, wherein the reed valve module is a self-contained modular unit that is adapted to be inserted into a receiving cavity of a modular reed valve assembly such that the seating surface is positioned adjacent to a retaining surface of the modular reed valve assembly and an interfacing surface of the reed valve module is positioned adjacent to a second retaining surface of the modular reed valve assembly, and wherein the reed valve module is adapted to be captured and retained within the modular reed valve assembly between the first and second retaining surfaces.
Toilet coupling
A toilet that includes a tank; a bowl; a mounting bracket comprising a base and three mounting locations; a valve having a valve body extending through the tank and an opening in the mounting bracket; a valve nut coupled to the valve body with the base of the mounting bracket retained between the tank and the valve nut; a flexible gasket disposed around the valve nut between the mounting bracket and the bowl; and three fasteners disposed externally to the tank, wherein each fastener extends through one mounting location and a hole in the bowl to couple the mounting bracket to the bowl; where the three mounting locations are arranged to provide both a pitch adjustment and a roll adjustment of the tank relative to the bowl about respective first and second axes in response to adjustment of one or more of the three fasteners.
SOLENOID VALVE
In at least some implementations, a solenoid valve includes a housing, a bobbin and an armature. The bobbin is received at least partially within the housing and has a body about which a coil is provided. A fluid flow path including an inlet and an outlet and a valve seat is defined by at least one of the housing or the bobbin, and the armature is moveable relative to the valve seat to control flow through the fluid flow path.
POPPET VALVE WITH SIMULTANEOUSLY CONTACTING VALVE MEMBERS
A poppet assembly for a valve can include a valve stem for cooperating with a valve actuator, a first valve member coupled to the valve stem in a fixed position and configured to sealingly engage a first orifice and a second valve member coupled to the valve stem and configured to sealingly engage a second orifice. The second valve member can include a coupler for coupling the second valve member to the valve stem and a seal configured to couple to the coupler and the valve stem. The second valve member can be configured for achieving proper spacing between the valve members for simultaneous contact with their respective orifices without the need for more costly and time consuming components or assembly methods.
Priming System and Method for Dialysis Systems
The application is directed to an extracorporeal blood processing system capable of using dialysate to prime the system. A plastic molded compact manifold supports molded blood and dialysate fluidic pathways along with relevant sensors, valves and pumps. The compact manifold is also disposable in one embodiment and can be detachably installed in the dialysis machine. A two-way valve in the manifold is used to direct the dialysate flow through the blood circuit to prime the circuit for use in treatment.
