Blood purification apparatus
A blood purification apparatus where neither an arterial puncture needle nor a venous puncture needle is stuck in the patient can be checked automatically when it is attempted to activate a blood pump in an unconnected step. A blood purification apparatus includes a blood circuit for circulating blood, a dialyzer for purifying the blood, a blood pump provided to an arterial blood circuit for delivering liquid when activated, and a control device that executes a connected step when blood pump is activated with an arterial puncture needle (a) and a venous puncture needle (b) being stuck in the patient and an unconnected step in which the blood pump is activated with neither the arterial puncture needle (a) nor the venous puncture needle (b) being stuck in the patient.
Blood purification apparatus
A blood purification apparatus with an arterial puncture needle or a venous puncture needle is stuck in the patient can be easily notified at the activation of a blood pump in an unconnected step. A blood purification apparatus includes a blood circuit for circulating blood, a dialyzer capable of purifying the blood, a blood pump provided to an arterial blood circuit for delivering a liquid, and a control device that executes a connected step in which the blood pump is activated when an arterial puncture needle (a) and a venous puncture needle (b) are in the patient and an unconnected step in which the blood pump is activated with neither the arterial puncture needle (a) nor the venous puncture needle (b) being stuck in the patient. The control device establishes, in the unconnected step, a restricted state where the behavior of the blood pump at the activation of the blood pump is restricted.
Method for Regenerating Adsorber and Dialysis System
A method for regenerating an adsorber which has a porous body and does not have an enzyme includes a dialysis step, in which the adsorber is connected to a dialysate circulation unit to cause uremic substances within a dialysate to be adsorbed onto the adsorber, and a regenerating step, in which the uremic substances which are adsorbed on the adsorber are desorbed by regenerating water that flows in a regenerating water flow unit. A dialysis system is equipped with the dialysate circulation unit, the adsorber, which is connected to the dialysate circulation unit and the regenerating water flow unit. The regenerating water flow unit is connectable to the adsorber.
Hemodialysis system
A drain cassette for a dialysis unit has a fluid channel between venous and arterial connection ports, and a valve may controllably open and close fluid communication between a drain outlet port and the venous connection port or the arterial connection port. A blood circuit assembly and drain cassette may be removable from the dialysis unit, e.g., by hand and without the use of tools. A blood circuit assembly may include a single, unitary member that defines portions of a pair of blood pumps, control valves, channels to accurately position flexible tubing for an occluder, an air trap support, and/or other portions of the assembly. A blood circuit assembly engagement device may assist with retaining a blood circuit assembly on the dialysis unit, and/or with removal of the assembly. An actuator may operate a retainer element and an ejector element that interact with the assembly.
Blood treatment machine comprising SOS generator and disinfection method
An extracorporeal blood treatment machine, preferably a dialysis machine, including a fluid circuit, preferably a dialysis fluid circuit, and a disinfectant supply line including an SOS generator integrated in the blood treatment machine which can be selectively connected to the fluid circuit by the disinfectant supply line and is adapted to provide a super-oxidized solution or SOS for disinfection of the fluid circuit from dialysis concentrate and osmotic water, and a method for disinfection of an extracorporeal blood treatment machine.
BLOOD CIRCUIT ASSEMBLY FOR A HEMODIALYSIS SYSTEM
A blood circuit assembly for a dialysis unit may include an organizing tray, a pair of pneumatic pumps mounted to the organizing tray for circulating blood received from a patient through a circuit including a dialyzer unit and returned to the patient, an air trap mounted to the organizing tray arranged to remove air from blood circulating in the circuit, a pair of dialyzer connections arranged to connect to the inlet and outlet of a dialyzer unit, and a pair of blood line connectors, one inlet blood line connector for receiving blood from the patient and providing blood to the pneumatic pumps and the other outlet blood line connector for returning blood to the patient.
Sterile container comprising sterile barrier separate from primary package and method of manufacturing sterile container
A sterile container including at least one hollow fiber filter module, especially dialyzer, which is accommodated in a hermetically sealed holding volume of a primary package and includes a blood compartment delimited by a blood inlet opening and a blood outlet opening, wherein a plurality of hollow fiber filter modules is arranged in the primary package and the sterile barrier of the blood compartment of each hollow fiber filter module inside the primary package is implemented by caps which close the blood inlet opening and the blood outlet opening of each hollow fiber filter module. A method of manufacturing such sterile container is also disclosed.
Hemodialysis System
A dialysis system comprises a filtration means, a pump and a sorbent device for performing a dialysis treatment and/or for regenerating a dialysate solution.
Hemodialysis system
A dialysis system comprises a filtration means, a pump and a sorbent device for performing a dialysis treatment and/or for regenerating a dialysate solution.
SYSTEM AND METHOD TO EFFICIENTLY CLEAN A BLOOD FILTER
A renal therapy apparatus includes a blood filter, a blood pump, a treatment fluid pump, and a control unit configured to control at least one of the blood pump or the treatment fluid pump during a filter cleaning sequence. The blood filter includes a plurality of hollow fiber membranes. During the filter cleaning sequence, a fluid mixture is formed by mixing air with a blood-compatible and physiologically safe fluid. Also during the filter cleaning sequence, the fluid mixture is transferred across insides and/or outsides of the plurality of hollow fiber membranes at least one time. The use of the fluid mixture enables the filter cleaning sequence to be performed during the blood treatment.
