The tool head can be a floor care tool or other accessory that can be attached to the handle such that the elongated length of the handle can aid in the use of the tool attached. The locking system includes a keyed locking collar for engaging at least a first portion of the tool head, and a locking cap rotatably positioned on the handle for engaging a second portion of the tool head. The handle can be extendable, such as by telescoping, and can also be overmolded.

Electrically insulated shaft coupling

An electrically insulated shaft coupling may include a first metallic portion, a second metallic portion, and an electrically insulating portion that separates the first metallic portion and the second metallic portion. The first metallic portion may include a first plurality of splines configured to interface with splines of a first rotating shaft, and the second metallic portion comprises a second plurality of splines configured to interface with splines of a second rotating shaft.

RING LATCH LOCKING SHAFT COUPLING FOR BI-DIRECTIONAL LOADING

An electrical submersible pump assembly comprising a first section and a second section with an outer housing and a drive shaft. A coupling assembly comprising a coupling, a thrust pin, and a retainer ring mechanically couples the first drive shaft to the second drive shaft. The coupling is generally cylindrical in shape with splines formed along the inner surface configured to transfer torque from the first shaft to the second shaft. The thrust pin is installed in a pin bore in the lower shaft and extends into a retainer bore in the upper shaft. The retainer ring is installed between a groove in the retainer bore and a retainer groove on the outside of the thrust pin. The thrust pin is configured to transfer tensile stress from the retainer bore in first drive shaft to the pin bore in the second drive shaft.

A shaft assembly for an aircraft engine includes a first shaft coupled to a second shaft with a splined coupling made of an electrically-insulating material. The first and second shafts and the splined coupling are rotatable about an axis. A positioning device is mounted to the splined coupling and to the first shaft about the axis. The positioning device is displaceable along the axis relative to the first shaft to vary an axial position of the splined coupling.

A developing cartridge includes a coupling member provided adjacent to a first end of a casing. The coupling member is operatively connected to a developing roller, and the coupling member is rotatable about a rotational axis thereof. The coupling member includes (i) a cylindrical portion, (ii) a first projection at least partially positioned inside of the cylindrical portion, (iii) a second projection at least partially positioned inside of the cylindrical portion, (iv) an elastically movable projection at least partially positioned inside of the cylindrical portion, and (v) a wall extending in a direction perpendicular to the rotational axis and positioned between a second end of the casing and the first and second projections.

Drum unit, cartridge and coupling member

A coupling member drum unit for a cartridge includes a cylindrical photosensitive drum having an axis L1 and a coupling member operatively connected to the photosensitive drum. The coupling member includes a drum flange provided at an end of the photosensitive drum, with a part of the drum flange being positioned inside of the photosensitive drum, and a connecting part operatively connected to the drum flange. The connecting part includes a cap positioned adjacent to the drum flange, an arm portion extending from the cap in a direction of the axis L1, and a projection projecting from the arm portion in a direction perpendicular to the axis L1, with the projection being movable between a first position and a second position, and with an end of the projection being closer to the axis L1 in the first position than in the second position.

Drum unit, cartridge and coupling member

A cartridge includes a photosensitive drum and a coupling member operatively connected to the photosensitive drum, with the coupling member including an arm portion and a projection projecting from the arm portion. The arm portion of the coupling member extends from a point that is upstream in the rotational direction of the photosensitive drum towards a point that is downstream in the rotation direction of the photosensitive drum.

Composite vehicle driveshaft with crash collapse system

A composite vehicle driveshaft is provided with a crash collapse system that allows for a controlled longitudinal collapse of the driveshaft by facilitating telescopic movement of various components with respect to each other during a crash event. The crash collapse system may include a collapsible joint with a sleeve that is concentrically bonded in an end of a composite tube and a stub end assembly that is spline-engaged and interference fit within the sleeve, such as by way of a press-fit and/or a thermal shrink-fit procedure. This relationship may rotationally lock and axially fix the stub end assembly to the sleeve unless, during a crash event, the composite vehicle driveshaft experiences a compression or push-type force that exceeds a minimum breakaway or collapse force value that longitudinally and telescopically collapses the composite vehicle driveshaft.
