GLOVE COATING AND MANUFACTURING PROCESS
This invention relates to an elastomeric article with improved lubricity and donnablity and reduced stickiness/tackiness. According to the methods of the invention, the internal surface of the elastomeric article is coated with a polyisoprene coating. The coating of the invention is formed from synthetic polyisoprene rubber that may or may not contain minor amounts of other components. The coating is preferably directly bonded to the underlying elastomeric article.
HEAT-TRANSMITTING MODIFIER FOR ELASTOMER, HEAT-TRANSMISSION-MODIFIED CRYSTALLINE ELASTOMER, METHOD FOR USING CRYSTALLINE POLYMER AND PRECURSOR THEREOF, METHOD FOR HEAT-TRANSMISSION MODIFICATION OF ELASTOMER, HEATER BODY, AND HEATED BODY
The present invention brings about an increase in the thermal conductivity of an elastomer molded article over a preexisting value. The method according to the present invention is a method that uses at least one of a liquid crystalline polymer and a precursor therefor as a thermal conductivity modifier for an elastomer. That is, the thermal conductivity modifier for an elastomer according to the present invention contains at least one of a liquid crystalline polymer and a precursor therefor. The thermal conductivity modifier may contain only at least one of a liquid crystalline polymer and a precursor therefor or may contain at least one of a liquid crystalline polymer and a precursor therefor along with an additional component. The method and thermal conductivity modifier according to the present invention can bring about an increase in the thermal conductivity of an elastomer molded article over a preexisting value.
Polymeric protective layer
A polymeric product including at least two layers, wherein a functional layer includes a polymeric material and at least one anti-microbial substance, and a protective layer, including a polymeric material arranged outside the functional layer and completely covering the functional layer, wherein the protective layer does not include any anti-microbial substances. A method of producing the product, the use of the same and a kit for producing the product.
Power transmission belt and method for fabricating the same
A power transmission belt includes a transparent or semitransparent sheet material covering a portion of a surface of a belt body including a mark. At least a portion of the belt body covered with the sheet material is made of a rubber composition vulcanized with sulfur. The sheet material is made of a rubber material containing a diene rubber. The sheet material is vulcanized with sulfur together with the rubber composition forming the portion of the belt body covered with the sheet material such that the sheet material is connected to the belt body.
HIGH PRESSURE BALLOON
Composite fiber reinforced balloons for medical devices are prepared by applying a web of fibers to the exterior of a preformed underlayer balloon, encasing the web with a matrix material to form an assembly, and inserting the assembly into a preformed outer layer balloon to form the composite balloon.
Coated elastomeric article
This invention relates to an elastomeric article with improved lubricity and donnablity and reduced stickiness/tackiness. According to the methods of the invention, the internal surface of the elastomeric article is coated with a polyisoprene coating. The coating of the invention is formed from synthetic polyisoprene rubber that may or may not contain minor amounts of other components. The coating is preferably directly bonded to the underlying elastomeric article.
Method for forming catheter balloon
Multilayer balloon for a catheter comprises a first layer of a first elastomeric polymeric material, and a second layer of a second elastomeric polymeric material having a lower maximum blow up ratio (BUR) than the first elastomeric polymeric material and being an outer layer relative to the first layer. The multilayer balloon is formed by blow-molding such that the multilayer balloon is blown, in at least a first stage, to a final working radial dimension, wherein an area draw-down ratio (ADDR) of 2.0 for the multilayer balloon is targeted.
Polymer compositions with improved retention of properties under mechanical and thermal stresses
The invention provides a composition comprising the following: A) an ethylene/-olefin/diene interpolymer; B) an ethylene/-olefin copolymer with a Mooney Viscosity [ML(1+4) at 125 C.] greater than 40; and C) a peroxide; and wherein the -olefin of the ethylene/-olefin copolymer of component B comprises at least four carbon atoms; and wherein component A is present in an amount from 50 to 95 weight percent, based on the sum weight of components A and B.
Chloroprene rubber composition and vulcanized rubber thereof, and rubber molded product, vibration-damping rubber member, engine mount, and hose using vulcanized rubber
The invention provides compositions of chloroprene rubbers having improved vibration-damping properties under low temperature conditions without deterioration of mechanical properties, permanent compression set and tension fatigue in the final product. The chloroprene rubbers of the invention contain a xanthogen-modified chloroprene rubber and/or a mercaptan-modified chloroprene rubber in an amount of 100 parts by mass, a carbon black having an average particle diameter of 70 mn to 600 mn and a DBP oil absorption (as determined by Absorption A method of JIS-K6221) of 15 ml/100 g in an amount of 15 to 150 parts by mass, and a plasticizer represented by the chemical formula R.sub.1COO(CH.sub.2).sub.8COOR.sub.2 wherein R.sub.1 and R.sub.2 each represent an alkyl group having 1 to 7 carbons.
Coating Compositions for Aluminum Beverage Cans and Methods of Coating Same
A coating composition for a food or beverage can that includes an emulsion polymerized latex polymer formed by combining an ethylenically unsaturated monomer component with an aqueous dispersion of a water-dispersible polymer.
