The discrete tufts have secondary bond lines external to the tufts. The secondary bond lines interrupt the Z-direction thickness of the tufts, to provide channels for improved collection and retention of debris from a target surface. The tufts are created by slits between the primary bonds and secondary bonds, which yield plural tuft sizes. The slits may be transversely unequally spaced between adjacent bonds.

A cleaning pad structure of stitch bonded construction incorporating one or more substrate layers of an absorbent nonwoven material with an optional additional fluid blocking substrate layer of polymer film or other suitable material in juxtaposed relation to the absorbent nonwoven layers. The contrast pattern is positioned proximate a selected side edge of the carpet tile and has a contrast color different than the colors of the background pattern. Within a floor covering, the rotational position of the carpet tile can be varied to thereby achieve a desired visual appearance with respect to the contrast patterns of adjacent carpet tiles.

An artificial turf mat includes a backing and a plurality of protruding artificial grass blades divided into rows and connected to the backing.
