COVER FOR FLEXIBLE DISPLAY PANEL, FLEXIBLE DISPLAY PANEL AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
20190348629 · 2019-11-14 ·

An embodiment of the present disclosure provides a cover for a flexible display panel, including an organic film including a recessed portion, a reinforcing layer disposed in the recessed portion, and a first and second rigid structure adjacent to each other disposed on the organic film, the first rigid structure includes a first joint portion, and the second rigid structure includes a second joint portion, the first joint portion and the second joint portion being configured to be separated from each other when the reinforcing layer is bent, and to be joined to form a one-piece structure when the reinforcing layer is not bent. In an embodiment of the present disclosure, by providing on the organic film a reinforcing layer and rigid structures that can be joined and separated, the cover may exhibit enhanced surface hardness, impact resistance and user's feel while the bending of the cover can be realized.

Strengthened 3D printed surface features and methods of making the same

Glass articles including one or more 3D printed surface features attached to a surface of a substrate at a contact interface between the 3D printed surface feature and the surface. The 3D printed surface feature(s) include a glass or a glass-ceramic, a compressive stress region at an exterior perimeter surface of the 3D printed surface feature(s), and a central tension region interior of the compressive stress region. The 3D printed surface feature(s) may be formed of a contiguous preformed material 3D printed on a surface of a substrate. The compressive stress region of a 3D printed surface feature may be formed using an ion-exchange process.

Slipsheet, divider sheet and method for making the same
RE049917 · 2024-04-16 · ·

The present disclosure provides a slipsheet and/or divider sheet and method for making the same, and method for moving and storing containers with use of the slipsheets or divider sheets. The sheets have an imprint or an embossing that provides a raised planar surface. The raised planar surface preferably comprises a plurality of ridges, crowns or crests, which are preferably arranged in a pattern throughout an upper surface of the sheet. To make the sheet, a die can be etched to have protuberances or bumps, and the die is preferably pressed into a sheet of pliable thermoplastic material. The sheet thus made has a plurality of indentations formed by the protuberances or bumps on the die, and the sheet has a planar outer surface comprising a plurality of ridges, crowns and crests between the indentations.

One-piece part including a magnetocaloric material including an alloy including iron and silicon and at least one lanthanide, and method for manufacturing said one-piece part

A one-piece part based on magnetocaloric material comprising an alloy comprising iron and silicon and a lanthanide, comprises a base in a first plane defined by a first and second direction and N unitary blades secured to the base; the blades having a first and second dimension in the first and second direction, respectively, and a third dimension in a third direction at right angles to the first and second dimensions; an ith blade being separated from an (i+1)th blade by an ith distance; the ratio between the second dimension and first dimension being at least 10; the ratio between the third dimension and first dimension being at least 6; the first dimension being the same order of magnitude as the distance separating an ith blade from an (i+1)th blade. The magnetocaloric material can be rare-earth alloy or a composite material based on polymer binder and rare-earth alloy.

Reinforcing system for reinforcing a cavity of a structural element

In a reinforcing system for reinforcing a cavity of a structural element, a support element is connected to the structural element in the structural element for reinforcement purposes. The support element has channels, an adhesive is disposed in the cavity between the support element and the structural element, and the adhesive can be introduced into the cavity between the support element and the structural element by means of the channels.

Anti-fatigue mat/shock pad
10383470 · 2019-08-20 · ·

An anti-fatigue mat/shock pad has a mat body with a top surface, a bottom surface, a left side edge, a right side edge and a top and bottom edges. The top and bottom surface of the mat have raised regions thereon which are made up of longitudinally extending raised ribs arranged in parallel fashion with respect to one another and spaced apart a selected distance by longitudinal channels. The longitudinal ribs on the top surface are offset from the longitudinal ribs on the bottom surface in an alternating fashion so that they present a staggered array when viewed in cross section. This particular pattern of raised ribs on the top and bottom surfaces of the mat produces a non-linear deformation pattern under impact forces in use, such as would be caused by athletes running or jumping on an athletic field.
