INSULATED RADIANT BARRIERS IN APPAREL
A textile including a radiant barrier, the textile comprising a proximal side and a distal side. The textile also comprising a first substrate and a second substrate. The first substrate disposed distally of the second substrate. An insulation layer disposed adjacent to the second substrate; and wherein at least one of the first substrate and the second substrate is a radiant barrier, and wherein the radiant barrier has an average thickness of between 20 nm to 150 nm.
FIBER-REINFORCED PLASTIC PANEL MATERIAL
An FRP panel material includes reinforcing fibers oriented in predetermined orientation directions near the surface. In the surface of the panel material, a plurality of either or both of protrusions and depressions having shapes of congruent regular triangular pyramids are provided. The bases of the regular triangular pyramids are arranged on a virtual reference plane along the surface with no gap or overlap so that each vertex of an equilateral triangle constituting each base is shared by six of the bases as vertices thereof. Each of the orientation directions of the reinforcing fibers is parallel to any lateral edge of each regular triangular pyramid as seen in the thickness direction of the panel material.
Multi-chambered fluid-fillable apparatus
The invention relates to a multi-chambered, fluid-fillable apparatus apparatus, comprising two sheets bonded together to define a plurality of cells between them. In a first aspect, at least one, and preferably both, of the sheets are formed from polyvinyl alcohol. In a second aspect, the sheets are sealed together using both permanent and non-permanent seals. The non-permanent seals are formed to rupture at a predetermined internal pressure in order to dissipate externally applied load.
Slipsheet, divider sheet and method for making the same
The present disclosure provides a slipsheet and/or divider sheet and method for making the same, and method for moving and storing containers with use of the slipsheets or divider sheets. The sheets have an imprint or an embossing that provides a raised planar surface. The raised planar surface preferably comprises a plurality of ridges, crowns or crests, which are preferably arranged in a pattern throughout an upper surface of the sheet. To make the sheet, a die can be etched to have protuberances or bumps, and the die is preferably pressed into a sheet of pliable thermoplastic material. The sheet thus made has a plurality of indentations formed by the protuberances or bumps on the die, and the sheet has a planar outer surface comprising a plurality of ridges, crowns and crests between the indentations.
EMBOSSED PAPER IN COMBINATION WITH PAPER CUSHIONING FOR SHIPPING ENVELOPES
According to some illustrative embodiments, a protective product is provided that includes: at least one expandable slit paper sheet, said at least on expandable slit paper being expanded between opposing ends of said slit paper; a first embossed paper sheet facing said expanded slit paper sheet and a second paper sheet facing an opposite side of said at least one expanded slit paper sheet, at least one of said first embossed paper sheet and said second paper sheet being fixed to said expanded slit paper sheet at the opposing ends of said expanded slit paper sheet and thereby maintaining said expanded paper in its expanded state, said first embossed paper sheet having a plurality of embossings that increase the rigidity of said embossed paper sheet, whereby inhibiting deformation of said embossed paper sheet that is fixed to said expanded slit sheet paper.
APPARATUS AND METHODS FOR SELECTIVE THERMOFORMING
Apparatus and methods of forming selected portions of integral sheets of material are disclosed. Unformed portions of the sheets may remain undistorted during the forming process, allowing them to contain text, art work, or other desired information without material risk of the information being degraded or becoming unintelligible during the forming process. This result may be accomplished, moreover, with less trim than usually occurs in conventional forming processes.
Splice joints for composite aircraft fuselages and other structures
Structures and methods for joining composite fuselage sections and other panel assemblies together are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, a shell structure configured in accordance with the present invention includes a first panel portion positioned adjacent to a second panel portion. The first panel portion can include a first stiffener attached to a first composite skin, and the second panel portion can include a second stiffener attached to a second composite skin. The shell structure can further include a fitting extending across a first edge region of the first panel portion and a second edge region of the second panel portion. A first end portion of the fitting can be attached to the first stiffener and the first composite skin, and a second end portion of the fitting can be attached to a second stiffener and a second composite skin, to join the first panel portion to the second panel portion.

Joining structure
A joining structure includes a first member, a second member of a material different from that of the first member, and a separation mechanism provided between the first member and the second member and that separates the first member and the second member from each other, wherein a resin is filled into the space between the edge of at least one member among the first member and the second member, and the other member.
PAPER CUSHIONED SHIPPING ENVELOPES AND METHODS OF MAKING THE SAME
According to some illustrative embodiments, a protective product is provided that includes: an envelope having a two-layer wall structure, the two-layer wall structure including a) a first outer paper layer, and b) a second inner paper layer, wherein the second inner paper layer includes width-wise positional variations of the side surface of the second inner sheet that cushions items placed within an inner pouch of the envelope, and forms an interior wall of the inner pouch of the envelope and directly contacts the items placed within the inner pouch of the envelope. In some preferred implementations, the width-wise positional variations of the side surface of the second inner paper layer includes pleats, undulations and/or embossments, and, preferably, the pleats, undulations and/or embossments include ridges that extend perpendicular or substantially perpendicular to an outlet of the envelope.
