An injection device including a housing, a needle guard sleeve displaceable relative to the housing, and a spring coupled to the guard sleeve such that the guard sleeve can be moved by the spring distally from a proximal position to an end position, the spring also being coupled to a forward drive element displaceable relative to the housing in a drive direction wherein the spring is tensioned upon a movement of the forward drive element in the forward drive direction.

A cassette is disclosed for receiving a medicament container, the cassette having a medicament delivery member; a guard for covering the medicament delivery member; a shell movable between a proximal shell position where movement of the guard is prevented by the shell, and a distal shell position where the guard is exposed from the shell; a biasing device arranged to force the shell towards the distal shell position; a blocking device movable from a blocking position where the shell is blocked from moving to the distal shell position, to a releasing position where the shell is released; and a locking device movable from a first position to a second position; wherein the blocking device and the locking device are arranged such that movement of the locking device from the first position to the second position causes the blocking device to move from the blocking position to the releasing position.

An autoinjector (100′) for expelling a single dose of a drug from a held cartridge (600) comprising a piston (630). The autoinjector includes a needle shield (350, 380′) axially movable from an initial extended position via a triggering position to a trigger release position. The needle shield (350, 380′) is operatively coupled to a plunger release element (320′, 1320) cooperating with a plunger (310, 400) to define a releasable retaining mechanism that retains the plunger release element (320′, 1320) threadedly engaged with a base thread component (204′, 1204) in a predefined relative rotational and axial position and against rotational bias provided by an actuator (330). The needle shield (350, 380′) is configured for operating the retaining mechanism to release the retaining of the plunger release element (320′, 1320) and the base thread component (204′, 1204) from the predefined relative rotational and axial position upon the needle shield (350, 380′) being moved into the trigger release position.

An apparatus includes a housing, a medicament container and a movable member. The medicament container is movable within the housing between a first position and a second position in response to a force produced by an energy storage member. A proximal end portion of the medicament container includes a flange and has a plunger disposed therein. A first shoulder of the movable member exerts the force on the flange to move the medicament container from the first position to the second position. A portion of the first shoulder deforms when the medicament container is in the second position such that at least a portion of the force is exerted upon the plunger. A second shoulder of the movable member exerts a retraction force on the flange to move the medicament container from the second position towards the first position.

An autoinjector apparatus is disclosed which comprises a single-use cassette and an autoinjector. The cassette comprises a housing and a sleeve movably disposed in the housing. A syringe may be disposed in the sleeve and secured therein with a lock cap. The lock cap is affixed to a distal end of the sleeve and contacts the distal end of the syringe. A shield remover extends through an opening in a proximal end of the housing for removing a needle shield which covers a needle of the syringe. A cassette identification arrangement is provided on a surface of the housing to enable the autoinjector to identify the cassette. The autoinjector is provided with a detector for reading the cassette identification arrangement.

The present invention relates to a medicament delivery device comprising a drive means configured to act on a medicament container for expelling a medicament; a holding means configured to hold said drive means in a pre-tensioned state; an activation means configured to interact with said holding means for releasing said drive means from the pre-tensioned state; wherein the device further comprises feedback means configured to interact both with said holding means and with said drive means for generating an audible and/or tactile and/or visual signal indicating that the medicament has been completely expelled.

Container holder assembly for a medicament delivery device comprising a housing part 22, a container holder 50, and a spring-biased needle guard 82, wherein the needle guard 82 is configured to disconnect from the container holder 50 upon movement from the extended position to the retracted position.

An injection device with distal and proximal ends includes a housing, a needle-protecting sleeve that is longitudinally movable relative to the housing, a container holder that is longitudinally movable relative to the housing toward the proximal end from a non-delivery position to a delivery position, and a needle-protecting sleeve spring that is operatively coupled between the needle-protecting sleeve and the container holder such that the sleeve is longitudinally movable toward the distal end from an initial position to an activating position and toward the proximal end from the activating position to an end position. The sleeve spring is strained by a first amount when the sleeve moves from its initial position to its activating position, and by a second amount when the container holder moves from its non-delivery position to its delivery position.

A power pack assembly for a medicament delivery device, the power pack comprising a plunger rod (64) extending along a longitudinal axis (L) and having a proximal and an opposite distal ends, an actuator (90) provided with a holding element (96) and configured to interact with a corresponding holding element on the plunger rod (64), a first force element (68) arranged to exert a force on the plunger rod; an actuator sleeve mechanism (119) arranged to releasibly lock said holding element (96) in engagement with the corresponding holding element of said plunger rod (64) such as to hold said first force element (68) in a tensioned state. The invention is characterised in that said actuator sleeve mechanism (119) comprises an actuator cap (134) configured to hold said holding element (96) in engagement with the corresponding holding element of said plunger rod (64) and an actuator sleeve (120) interconnected with said actuator cap (134) such that in relation to the actuator (90), said actuator cap (134) is moved a shorter distance than the actuator sleeve (120) when said actuator sleeve is distally displaced in relation to the distal housing part.
