Dose capturing assembly with secondary image analysis feature
An add-on device for a drug delivery device comprises a camera for capturing an image of a scale drum, and a processor for determining the value of a captured image using a first image analysis process, the value corresponding to a set dose amount. If the determined value belongs to a pre-defined group of values, the determined value is confirmed using a second image analysis process in which for a given value from the pre-defined group of values one or more partial image areas and an associated nominal content thereof are pre-defined. If the captured content for each image area corresponds to the nominal content, the determined value is confirmed.
INJECTION DEVICE FOR INJECTING A PHARMACEUTICAL SUBSTANCE, AND INJECTION LOADING PART FOR SUCH AN INJECTION DEVICE
The invention relates to an injection device (1) for injecting a pharmaceutical substance, having a proximal part (5) which has a drive (7) to implement an injection, and having a distal part (13) which is configured to accommodate an injection loading part (3), which has a packaging means receiving part (17) and a primary packaging means (23) which held in the packaging means receiving part (17) and in which a pharmaceutical substance is received, wherein the pharmaceutical substance can be injected from the injection loading part (3) when the injection loading part (3) is arranged in the distal part (13), wherein the distal part (13) is designed in such a way that the injection loading part (3) can be inserted axially into the distal part (13), and wherein the injection device (1) has a screen (15) which is designed and arranged in such a way that an injection needle (25) of the injection loading part (3) is concealed from a user during use of the injection device (1).
Housing with syringe holding feature
A securing device for an injection device which receives a syringe with a proximal end portion having a radially outwardly projecting flange, has a body with proximal and distal end portions, an opening for accepting the syringe, an outer surface, and a proximal end surface for contacting a distally-facing surface of the flange when the syringe is advanced distally, preventing further advancement. A securing arm includes a free end; a base end fixed to the outer surface; a first portion extending radially outwardly from the base end to permit the flange to pass; and a second portion extending radially inwardly in a rest position, contacting the flange as the syringe is advanced. The securing arm is elastically flexible to allow the free end to move radially outwardly, allowing the advancing flange to pass, and is biased to the rest position to secure the flange and the syringe against proximal movement.
Drug Delivery Device
The present disclosure relates to a method of pairing an electronic data logging device of a drug delivery device with an external electronic device and to a respective drug delivery device. The drug delivery device comprises a housing configured to accommodate the medicament and to receive and/or mechanically engage with the electronic data logging device. The drug delivery device further comprises a first device component and a second device component. The first device component is movable relative to the second device component from a first positional state to a second positional state. The first device component comprises a first outer surface, and the second device component comprises a second outer surface. At least one of the first outer surface and the second outer surface comprises a first code portion of a pairing code for establishing a communication link between the electronic data logging device and an external electronic device.
Substance delivery devices
A substance delivery device (autoinjector) for use with a container (such as a syringe) containing the substance includes: a body arranged to house or hold the container; a plunger which is movable with respect to at least a portion of the body, the plunger being arranged to act upon the container so as to move the container with respect to the portion of the body; wherein the plunger is also arranged to expel at least a portion of the substance from the container; and wherein the device includes elements for adjusting the amount of substance to be expelled from the container. The device can also have elements for priming the container, and can accommodate containers of different size or shape.
Dose setting mechanism for priming a drug delivery device
A drug delivery device is provided comprising a dose setting mechanism having a spindle and a cartridge holder coupled to the dose setting mechanism. The cartridge holder comprising a cartridge having a movable bung at one end of the cartridge. The cartridge holder must be rotated before a dose may set with the dose setting mechanism.
Autoinjector
Described is an autoinjector comprising a front case having a first rib and a second rib, and a rear case telescopically coupled to the front case and having latch arms adapted to engage the first rib and the second rib. When the front case is in a first position relative to rear case, the latch arms are engaged to the first rib. When the latch arms disengage the first rib, the front case translates to a second position relative to the rear case, an axial distance between the front case and the rear case increases relative to the first position, the latch arms engage the second rib.
Housing of a drug delivery device
A housing for a drug delivery device is disclosed having a first housing component adapted to receive a cartridge at least partially filled with a medicament, and a second housing component adapted to receive a drive mechanism to operably engage with the cartridge for dispensing of a dose of the medicament, wherein the first housing component comprises an insert portion to be inserted in an axial direction into a corresponding receptacle of the second housing component, and wherein the insert portion comprises at least one radially outwardly extending first interlock member to positively engage and to rotationally lock with a correspondingly shaped second interlock member of the receptacle of the second housing component.
Coded drug reservoir connection element with hinged flange
A locking mechanism is provided for use with a reservoir and a reservoir holder so as to prevent unwanted tampering with the reservoir. The mechanism comprises a main body with an aperture that is coupled to the reservoir. A hinged flange is provided on the main body. The flange folds inwards at the pivot point provided by the hinge, toward the aperture of the main body, allowing the mechanism to pass over the ferrule of the reservoir. Once the mechanism is placed over the cartridge, the flange folds toward the reservoir at the pivot point, flexing away from the main body. The flange rests against the underside of the reservoir ferrule, thereby retaining the reservoir within the locking mechanism. The locking mechanism may be for use with either a disposable or a reusable delivery device.
Injection device
An injection device (100), including a base (104), a sliding body (116) slidably connected to the base (104), a double-ended needle (120) fixed to the sliding body (116), a biasing member (124) for proximally biasing the sliding body (116) with respect to the base (104), and for retracting the needle (120) into the device (100) subsequent to activation of the device (100), a medicament cartridge (128) for holding a medicament, slidably connected to the sliding body (116), and a stopper (132) slidably disposed within the medicament cartridge (128). The base (104) has a proximal end (108) and a surface (164) disposed at a distal end (112) thereof for contacting a patient's skin. The base (104) also has a first locking mechanism. The sliding body, (116) has a locking feature and a second locking mechanism. The second locking mechanism locks the medicament cartridge (128) relative to the sliding body (116) upon completion of displacement of the medicament cartridge (128) relative to the sliding body (116). The first locking mechanism and the locking feature interact to lock the sliding member (116) relative to the base subsequent to retraction of the needle (120) into the device (100).
