Pen-type injector
A pen includes a carpule having a longitudinal axis, a first end with a dispensing opening closable by a closure part, a second end via which at least one stopper can be inserted in the direction of the longitudinal axis, and an interior that is tightly closed by the closure part and the at least one stopper. A pen housing has a central axis, receives the carpule, and has a piston rod that interacts with the at least one stopper and a drive for moving the at least one stopper within the interior of the carpule, wherein the second end of the carpule can be inserted into the housing. The drive element moves the carpule into the housing in the direction of the longitudinal axis, which is arranged coaxially to the central axis of the housing, when the drive is activated; and in the process the piston rod is held in a fixed position with respect to the longitudinal direction of the housing such that the piston rod, which is engaged in the second end of the carpule, moves the at least one stopper within the interior of the carpule in the direction of the first end of the carpule.
INJECTION DEVICE WITH PLUNGER ARRANGMENT AND CONVERGING RAMPS
An injection device is disclosed including a housing assembly defining a pair of ramps and adapted to hold a medicament cartridge. A driver is adapted to advance the piston within the cartridge. A plunger having a pair of arms is moveable between a retracted position and an advanced position. Each of the arms are engageable with a respective one of the ramps as the plunger is advanced. A braking mechanism may include braking members on the arms and braking tracks proximate the ramps. Excessive force exerted on the plunger may flex the arms and engage the braking members with the braking tracks. The plunger arms may be connected together by a material bridge that biases the plunger arms apart from each other. The arms may include detents that engage to prevent the arms from moving due to the biasing force of the material bridge when the arms are in the fully retracted position.
INJECTION DEVICE WITH PRIMING ARRANGEMENT
An injection device for dispensing medication from a medicament cartridge is disclosed having a needle assembly at one end and a piston disposed opposite the needle assembly wherein advancement of the piston within the cartridge discharges medication from the needle assembly. The injection device may include a housing assembly and a driving assembly adapted to drive the piston and thereby discharge medication from the needle assembly. A cartridge retainer may be securable to the housing assembly and adapted to retain the cartridge. Securing the cartridge retainer to the housing assembly with a retained cartridge may move the piston of the cartridge into contact with the driving assembly and perform a priming procedure. The cartridge retainer may be securable to the housing assembly by rotationally engaging a helical thread with a helical groove. A ratcheting mechanism may be used to prevent the rotational disengagement of the cartridge retainer from the housing assembly.
Syringe
A syringe having a dispensing element (20) and having a mounting element (2), wherein the dispensing element (20) has a dispensing sleeve (21) and a leaf spring system (3), wherein the mounting element (2) has a syringe body (17), and an injection needle (16) is formed on one end on the syringe body (17) and a detent-engagement flange (19) is formed on the other end, wherein, in the syringe body (17), there is arranged a movable stopper (18), wherein the leaf spring system (3) comprises a piston (6) and a spiral spring (5) arranged around the piston (6), wherein the piston (6) can be slid into the dispensing sleeve (21), and the spiral spring (6) is arranged between a leaf spring base (22) and a spiral spring abutment, wherein the piston (6) abuts against the stopper (18), wherein the dispensing sleeve (21) has a guide duct and the dispensing sleeve (21) comprises a first locking means (7) and a second locking means (9), wherein the detent-engagement flange (19) is movable in the guide duct and is fixable and releasable at the first locking means (7) or the second locking means (9).
Apparatus for reinforcing syringe cartridge
An apparatus for transdermal injection includes a collet configured to transition between first and second states. In the first state, the collet receives a cartridge with a predetermined elongate shape. In the second state, an inner surface of the collet substantially conforms to the predetermined elongate shape of the cartridge such that expansion of the cartridge, when the cartridge is pressurized, is substantially uniformly opposed.
Spring-driven drug delivery device
The present invention relates to a drug delivery device (100) comprising a housing (101), a threaded piston rod (102), a rotatable drive tube (103), a drive nut (104) in threaded engagement with the piston rod (102) and being rotationally locked but axially moveable relative to the drive tube (103), and a support member (105) arranged rotationally free on the piston rod (102), the support member (105) being axially locked relative to the housing (101) and arranged to allow the drive tube (103) to move axially. The device further comprises a compression drive spring (106) arranged between the piston rod (102) and the drive tube (103), the compression drive spring (106) being arranged axially between the drive nut (104) and the support member (105).
Resettable drug delivery device
The present disclosure is generally directed to a resettable drug delivery device for selecting and dispensing a number of user variable doses of a medicament. The drug delivery device comprises a housing, a cartridge holder releasably attached to the distal end of the housing, a piston rod engaging a housing insert and a drive member, a dose setting member guided within the housing to allow rotation of the dose setting member during dose setting and dose dispensing, a clutch for rotationally coupling the drive member and the dose setting member, and a locking element which is rotationally constrained to the housing and is axially movable relative to the housing between a proximal dose setting position and a distal resetting position.
MEDICAMENT INJECTION DEVICE
A medicament injection device is disclosed comprising a housing containing a medicament cartridge holder; a rotatable cap assembly; a needle holder holding a needle, the needle holder being releasably supported by the cap assembly, a pre-stressed spring coupled to the medicament cartridge holder; wherein the cap assembly is arranged so that rotation thereof releases the pre-stressed spring, causing the medicament cartridge holder to move axially in a distal direction towards the needle. A method of operating the device is also disclosed.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR DELIVERY OF TWO OR MORE DRUG AGENTS
A computerized electro-mechanical drug delivery device configured to deliver at least one dose of two or more medicaments. The device comprises a control unit. An electro-mechanical drive unit is operably coupled to the control unit and a primary reservoir for a first medicament and a secondary reservoir for a fluid agent, e.g. a second medicament. An operator interface is in communication with the control unit. A single dispense assembly is configured for fluid communication with the primary and the secondary reservoir. Activation of the operator panel sets a first dose from the primary reservoir and based on the first dose and a therapeutic dose profile, the control unit is configured to determine a dose or range of the fluid agent. Alternatively, the control unit determines or calculates a dose or range of a third medicament. Further, a dispense interface for use with a drug delivery device is disclosed.
