INJECTOR PREMATURE ACTIVATION BLOCKING MECHANISM
An injector includes a housing and an activation button assembly movably mounted thereto and translatable from an unactuated position to an actuated position. A cartridge door is configured to receive therein a cartridge containing a substance to be dispensed, and is movably mounted to the injector housing between open and closed positions. A deflectable interference member is mounted within the injector housing and, in a resting position, blocks movement of the activation button assembly from the unactuated to the actuated position thereof. The activation button assembly is configured to activate the injector when in the actuated position, and is movable from the unactuated position to the actuated position solely upon deflection of the interference element out of the resting position thereof. The cartridge door, when in the closed position thereof and having the cartridge received therein, deflects the interference element out of the resting position thereof.
INJECTOR POWER-UP MECHANISM
An injector has a cartridge door movable between a fully closed position and a fully open position. A power supply is employed to power at least one power-operated component of the injector. A power supply circuit electrically connects the power supply with the at least one power-operated component. An electrically insulated arm is movable from a first state, in which the electrically insulated arm electrically disconnects the power supply from the circuit, to a second state, in which the electrically insulated arm connects the power supply with the circuit to provide power to the at least one power-operated component. The insulated arm is coupled to the cartridge door and initially positioned in the first state thereof in the fully closed position of the cartridge door, whereby movement of the cartridge door out of the fully closed position toward the fully open position moves the arm to the second state thereof.
DUAL SYRINGE CARTRIDGE AND HOUSING
A dispensing device and cartridge for simultaneous delivery and mixing of multiple co-reactive materials, the cartridge having proximal and distal ends, and having an elongated holder body with substantially parallel longitudinal voids. Multiple syringe bodies are disposed parallel within the voids and multiple co-reactive materials are separately disposed in the syringe bodies. The dispensing device also includes a longitudinal housing which is structured and arranged to receive the cartridge and has a malleable spray or mixing tip for accessing difficult to reach locations.
Dental syringe with stabilizer for removable needle
A needle assembly (14), for use with a syringe (3) and a medicine cartridge (12); has a molded body (14B). A needle (14A) is housed in, affixed to, and reinforced by the molded body (14B). The needle (14A) has a single tube which includes a tip (311), and a tip-ward needle (31) extending ring-ward from said tip into the molded body (14B). The tip-ward needle becomes a cartridge needle (531) within the molded body (14B). The cartridge needle (531) extends tip-ward from the molded body (14B). The molded body (14B), is molded as a single structure, and includes: a domed cylinder (248), at the molded body (14B)'s tip-ward end; a flange (22) ringward of the molded body (14B); and fins (251). The fins are molded radially from the domed cylinder (248). The fins are vertically molded from the flange (22); and reinforce the fins to the flange. A second cylinder (244), is extended ringward from the flange (22). A conical portion (15) is molded ringward from the second cylinder (244). The cone flares out ring-ward to a widest part (631) of the conical portion (15), at a ringward end (500) of the molded body to an annular surface (510) at the widest part (631) of the conical portion (15). The cartridge needle (531) has a molded support located tip-ward of the annular surface (510). A needle shaft (514) is at a central longitudinal axis of the molded body (14B). The needle (14A) passes through needle shaft.
Pharmaceutical injection device and storage case therefor
The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical injection device, and it is an object thereof to prompt the user to replace the injection needle as needed. To achieve this object, the present invention is configured such that a needle detector switch 8 that directly or indirectly detects the mounting of an injection needle to a pharmaceutical syringe 5 is provided to a main case 2, this needle detector switch 8 is connected to a controller 21, and the controller 21 displays on a display component 19 an injection needle removal message that directly or indirectly prompts the user to remove an injection needle 6 from the pharmaceutical syringe 5 when the mounting of the injection needle 6 to the pharmaceutical syringe 5 has been detected by the needle detector switch 8 in the switching off the a power switch 16.
Drug cassette, autoinjector, and autoinjector system
A cassette for use with an injector has a housing, and a cassette identification arrangement (cassette ID) defining a code containing information about the cassette that is detectable and decipherable by an injector. The cassette may further have a sleeve movably disposed within the housing, for holding a drug container, and a locking arrangement for interlocking the sleeve with the housing. The cassette may further have an aperture in the housing, and a cassette cap for removing a needle shield of the drug container. The cassette may have an anti-bending structure to prevent bending or flexing of the cassette cap. The injector may have a processor for controlling operational parameters of the injector and a detector communicatively coupled with the processor for detecting and communicating the cassette ID to the microprocessor to decipher the code defined therein. Also, a method of injecting a drug into a patient with an injector, wherein the sequence of actions performed by the user are controlled. Still further, a method of treating a patient in need thereof wherein a cassette containing a drug is provided and administered to the patient using an injector.
Dental syringe with stabilizer for removable needle
A cartridge syringe system includes a syringe (5). The syringe has a tip-ward direction and a ring-ward direction. The syringe (5) has a syringe body (9) and an actuator ring (7). A shaft (10) slidably mounts the actuator ring (7) to the syringe body (9), with a harpoon (11) at a tip-ward end of the shaft (10). The syringe body (9) has a spiral mount external to the syringe body (9) for removably mounting a sheath (20) to the syringe body (9), on a cooperating internal spiral sheath mount. The syringe body (9) and the sheath have similar openings. The sheath opening can be rotated to coincide with the syringe body opening, for inserting a needle assembly into the syringe body, or for removing the needle assembly. The sheath opening can be rotated to obstruct the syringe body opening, for retaining the needle assembly in the syringe body.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR APPLYING AN ANESTHETIC AND BACTERICIDE
A method and an apparatus for applying an anesthetic that includes a receptacle having an upper end, a substantially hollow interior, a lower end having a tube or nozzle extending therefrom, and an attachment for attaching to the barrel of a syringe or vice versa. The receptacle receives a container or canister containing an endothermic gas or vapor (propellant) that rapidly absorbs heat when released to the atmosphere. A depressible actuating member or trigger propels the gas or vapor through an outlet nozzle that is oriented to project a stream of gas or vapor along a delivery axis that intersects a delivery axis of the needle, therefore, the gas or vapor can be successively delivered to an injection site with minimal repositioning of the housing.
Drug injecting implement equipped with sliding attachment unit
