The syringe body (4) comprises a piston member (6) and an outer tubular casing (8) concentrically arranged around the piston member (6). The piston member (6) comprises an insertion end (10), receivable within the plunger body (2) and arranged for insertion in the ampoule (3), an ejection end (12) attached to the outer tubular casing (8), and a lumen (14) extending between the insertion end (10) and the ejection end (12). The plunger body (2) and the syringe body (4) form an actuating arrangement of the device (1) arranged to move the piston member (6) through the ampoule (3) during operation and forcing a fluid from the ampoule (3) through the lumen (14).
Pre-filled syringe or autoinjector
The invention provides a syringe for dispensing a drug (1), comprising: a rigid syringe body, a first container (2), in contact with and enclosing the drug; and a second container (3), enclosing the first container, the second container being less gas permeable than the first container, wherein the second container partially or fully forms the rigid syringe body or is held within the rigid syringe body. The invention preserves the drug but allows the drug to be easily accessed without the need for a user to remove a gas barrier structure as a separate action in addition to the other actions needed to deliver the drug.
Pen-type injector
A pen includes a carpule having a longitudinal axis, a first end with a dispensing opening closable by a closure part, a second end via which at least one stopper can be inserted in the direction of the longitudinal axis, and an interior that is tightly closed by the closure part and the at least one stopper. A pen housing has a central axis, receives the carpule, and has a piston rod that interacts with the at least one stopper and a drive for moving the at least one stopper within the interior of the carpule, wherein the second end of the carpule can be inserted into the housing. The drive element moves the carpule into the housing in the direction of the longitudinal axis, which is arranged coaxially to the central axis of the housing, when the drive is activated; and in the process the piston rod is held in a fixed position with respect to the longitudinal direction of the housing such that the piston rod, which is engaged in the second end of the carpule, moves the at least one stopper within the interior of the carpule in the direction of the first end of the carpule.
MEDICAL INJECTION DEVICE HAVING A TELESCOPICALLY MOVABLE SHIELD
The invention relates to a pre-filled injection device for apportioning a plurality of set doses of a liquid drug comprising. The housing of the injection device supports a non-replaceable cartridge containing the liquid drug. The cartridge is e.g. secured in a cartridge-holder being a part of the housing. A needle assembly comprising a needle cannula secured in a hub is slidable mounted to slide into contact with the cartridge. The tip of the needle cannula is covered by a telescopically movable shield movable from an extended position to a retracted position. The telescopically movable shield supports a cleaning chamber containing a cleaning solvent for cleaning at least the distal tip of the needle cannula between subsequent injections. The distal end of the housing supports a removable protective cap and the telescopically movable shield is guided relatively to the housing and coupled to the protective cap to follow movement of the protective cap.
SIMPLE MEDICAMENT DELIVERY DEVICE
A medicament delivery device is disclosed having a front assembly, and a rear assembly configured to be attached to the front assembly, wherein the front assembly has a front body and a syringe holder arranged in the front body, wherein the rear assembly has a rear body provided with a plunger rod, wherein the front body is configured to move axially relative to the rear body to enable the plunger rod to move forward inside the syringe holder, wherein the front assembly and the rear assembly are configured to be attached by means of a bayonet connection.
MEDICAMENT DELIVERY DEVICE AND SYSTEM
A medicament delivery device system for delivery of a medicament from a cartridge (10). The system comprises a first container (11) for storage of a first substance, a second container (12) received in the first container (11) for storage of a second substance, and valve means (68) for closing a distal end of the second container (12). The system further comprises a disposable cassette (102) and a reusable firing unit (200). The cassette (102) has a body (104) for receiving the cartridge (10), and a mixing element (148) for displacing the second substance into the first chamber (16) in a mixing stroke, to mix with the first substance to form the medicament. The firing unit (200) comprises a drive element (208) for expelling the medicament from the first chamber (16) in a delivery stroke and a trigger arrangement (240) for initiating the delivery stroke.
Applicator for ejecting doses of a flowable component
An applicator for ejecting doses of a flowable component includes a housing, an application tip connected to the housing, an actuation mechanism, and an insert which is detachable from the housing. The insert is adapted to be inserted into the housing, and has a storage volume for the flowable component. The housing includes a receiving portion adapted to the insert. The insert includes a drive portion which is adapted to cooperate with the actuation mechanism so that the operation of the actuation mechanism results in a displacement of the insert relative to the housing and on a displacement axis.
Discharger with improved piercing tip
A discharger for discharging fluid includes a sleeve, a discharge section, a carriage including a receiving space disposed therein, the carriage cooperating with a proximal end of the sleeve such that the carriage is moveable relative to the sleeve, and a piercing tip having a flow channel configured to establish a flow connection for the fluid from the receiving space to an inlet of the discharge section, the piercing tip having a shell surface, the piercing tip being integrally formed with at least a portion of the sleeve or formed as a unitary separate piece linked with at least the portion of the sleeve, the shell surface of the piercing tip having a convexly curved configuration, and the sleeve surrounding a proximal end of the discharge section and having an outer diameter that is substantially the same as the inner diameter of the carriage.
