Injection device with mounting aid for a supplementary device
A mounting aid for attaching a supplementary device to an injection device, wherein the injection device has an elongated housing extending in an axial direction, the mounting aid comprising a body extending in the axial direction, configured to receive at least a portion of the housing and having at least one radially extending engaging member to engage with a correspondingly shaped engaging member of the housing when in a specific position relative to the housing, and wherein the body comprises a side wall with an abutment face facing in a proximal direction, wherein the abutment face is defined on a plane that is inclined to the axial direction.
Feedback Mechanism for an Injection Device
A feedback mechanism for an injection device that is configured to deliver a medicament to a user is described. The feedback mechanism comprises a piston and a fluid chamber, and the piston is adapted to move into the fluid chamber during use of the injection device. The feedback mechanism also has a damper that is arranged to damp movement of the piston, and an indicator that is arranged to provide feedback to the user after the piston has moved a pre-determined distance into the fluid chamber.
SEALING ARRANGEMENT FOR DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE
A drug delivery device includes a housing releasably coupled with a patient, a container disposed in the housing, a plunger disposed in the container, an activation mechanism, and a seal member. The container includes a wall with an interior surface. The plunger includes an interior surface and is moveably disposed in the container. The interior surfaces of the wall and the plunger define a reservoir adapted to contain a drug. The activation mechanism is adapted to release a drive fluid for moving the plunger through the container to expel the drug therefrom. The seal member is moveably disposed in the container and is adapted to inhibit ingress of the drive fluid into the reservoir.
DRUG INJECTION CARTRIDGE AND DRUG INJECTOR COMPRISING SAME
The present invention relates to a drug injection cartridge and a drug injector comprising same, and has an anti-pushing part (100) formed between a needle part (10) and a cartridge (20), thereby preventing a rubber film from being expanded by pressure applied to the cartridge (20), such that a drug does not leak, and the accuracy of drug injection can be improved.
Aseptic piercing system and method
The present disclosure provides aseptic vial piercing and sterilization systems, and methods of assembling, using and sterilizing same. The systems and methods utilize a pre-sterilized primary container including a first end, a first cavity, a second end with an opening in communication with the first cavity, a septum at least partially sealing the opening, and a product within the first cavity. The systems and methods include an injection assembly including a first end portion of a hollow flowpath forming member. The injection assembly and the primary container may be assembled in a non-sterile environment to form a second cavity extending about the first end portion of the flowpath forming member and to the primary container. The second cavity may then be selectively sterilized in a non-deleterious manner to the product to allow the first end portion to aseptically pierce the septum to extend into the first cavity.

An auto-injector may include a housing having a longitudinal axis and a transverse axis, the housing having a shorter dimension along the transverse axis than along the longitudinal axis, wherein the transverse axis is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis; a flowpath having a first end and a second end; and a container enclosing a first fluid, the container extending from a first end toward a second end along or parallel to the longitudinal axis and being movable from a first position to a second position along or parallel to the longitudinal axis, the container being fluidly isolated from the flowpath in the first position and fluidly connected to the flowpath in the second position.
Needle cannula, an injection needle assembly for an injection device and an injection device comprising such assembly
A needle cannula for an injection device, extends along a central axis and comprises: a) a skin piercing distal end (133b), b) a proximal end (133a) configured for penetrating a seal structure (102b) of a medicament container (102), and c) a sidewall extending between the skin piercing distal end (133b) and the proximal end (133a), wherein the proximal end (133a) is defined by an angled surface (134) pointing proximally, the angled surface (134) defining a leading portion (134.1) and a heel portion (134.2), and wherein the angled surface (134) comprises a surface portion (134a, 134b) at the heel portion (134.2) forming an angle (α.sub.1) between 50 to 75 degrees with respect to the central axis, and further comprises a surface portion (134c) at the leading portion (134.1) forming an angle (α.sub.2) between 60 to 85 degrees with respect to the central axis. An injection needle assembly for an injection device and an injection device comprising such assembly are further described.
DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE
There is provided drug delivery devices comprising a drug container assembly with a needle and automatic needle insertion and drug delivery mechanisms. Aspects of the devices described include a noise-generation mechanism to indicate the completion of drug delivery, a mechanism for triggering drug delivery following needle insertion, front-end activation of the device and a safety mechanism for covering the needle after use and methods of assembly of the devices.
DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE WITH RETAINING MEMBER
A drug delivery device is provided for delivering a drug to a target tissue site. The drug delivery device comprises a body comprising a proximal end and a distal end and a chamber disposed therebetween. An upper portion is disposed about the proximal end of the body. A retaining member is disposed within a wall of the body and engageable with the chamber and a plunger is configured for disposal within the upper portion and the chamber. The upper portion is movable about the proximal end of the body to open the chamber such that the plunger is disposed within a passageway defined within the chamber, and movement of the plunger in a distal direction pushes the retaining member such that the drug moves out of the body. Methods are also disclosed.
