Injection Device
The present invention relates to an injection device that includes a housing having an axis, and a needle sleeve that is axially movably within the housing. Axial movement of the needle sleeve into the housing is configured to actuate an injection process. The needle sleeve includes a first part that is slidably mounted to the housing, and a second part that protrudes from the housing and is rotationally coupled to the first part. The needle sleeve includes a locking mechanism that is configured to prevent axial movement of the needle sleeve into the housing until the second part of the needle sleeve has been rotated relative to the first part of the needle sleeve.
Intraocular gas injector
A gas mixture apparatus includes a measurement control system, an activation system, a pressurized chamber with one or more gases, and a mixing chamber. A filter can be preattached to an outlet of the mixture apparatus, allowing excess gas to be discharged therethrough and then atmospheric air to be drawn into the mixture apparatus through the filter for creating a therapeutic gas mixture.
Mixing and/or reconstitution system
The mixing system includes an adaptor, an integrated injection device removably attached to the adaptor comprising a switching element, a first reservoir containing a fluidic first material, and a trigger. The adaptor includes a first attachment location configured to attach a vial. The vial contains a second material within a second reservoir, wherein the second material contains a medicament formulation. The adaptor also includes a first connection element, a flow channel providing fluid communication of the switching element and the first connection element, a sensing arrangement for detecting a pre-defined position of the vial at the first attachment location, and an interlock element which is configured to allow operation of the trigger in order to establish a fluid communication between the first connection element and the first reservoir only if the sensing arrangement detects the pre-defined position of the vial at the first attachment location.
Drug delivery device
The disclosure relates to a drug delivery device, comprising: an outer needle sleeve; a cartridge containing a dosage of a medicament and sealed with a sealing element that is arranged across an open distal end of the cartridge; a cartridge carrier adapted to hold the cartridge; a needle hub adapted to hold a double ended hollow needle; an inner needle sleeve arranged between the needle hub and the cartridge carrier; a removable cap coupled to the inner needle sleeve and adapted to cover and seal the needle; and a first locking mechanism adapted to lock the inner needle sleeve against axial movement in the proximal direction with respect to the cartridge carrier in an initial state, wherein in the initial state, the needle is spaced from the cartridge in the distal direction, and wherein the first locking mechanism is releasable by a rotational movement of the cap with respect to the outer needle sleeve.
Needle arrangement
The present disclosure relates to a needle arrangement for a drug delivery device. The needle arrangement includes a distal needle tip and a proximal needle tip. The distal needle tip is held in a distal needle holder and wherein the proximal needle tip is held in a proximal needle holder. The distal needle tip and the proximal needle tip are in fluid communication with each other through a fluid channel. The fluid channel is adapted to allow axial movement of the distal needle tip and relative to the proximal needle tip between a compact state and an extended state. A length of the needle arrangement over the distal needle tip and the proximal needle tip in the extended state is greater than in the compact state.
Medicament delivery devices
A medicament delivery device is disclosed, comprising a cartridge assembly that comprises a cartridge having a medicament chamber for containing a medicament, a sealing element for sealing a distal end of the medicament chamber and a coupling element attached to the cartridge. The device also includes a sealing element release member, a cannula for delivery of the medicament, and a removable cap. The device is switchable from a starting configuration in which the release member is spaced from the sealing element to an activated configuration in which the release member cooperates with the sealing element to connect the medicament chamber to the cannula. A proximal end of the release member is sealed in a release member chamber defined in part by, the sealing element and in part by the coupling element.
PRE-FILLED CARTRIDGE-BASED DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE
A wearable drug delivery device that can deliver a liquid drug stored in a container to a patient is provided. The container can be a prefilled cartridge that can be loaded into the drug delivery device by the patient or that can be preloaded within the drug delivery device when provided to the patient. A sealed end of the container is pierced to couple the stored liquid drug to a needle conduit that is coupled to a needle insertion component that provides access to the patient. A drive system of the drug delivery device can expel the liquid drug from the cartridge to the patient through the needle conduit. The drive system can be controlled to provide the liquid drug to the patient in a single dose or over multiple doses.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MIXING AND DELIVERING A SOLUTION
A device for mixing and delivering a solution includes a tubular barrel that includes a first end, a second end, and interior compartment. A first plunger is positionable at the first end, is moveable within the interior compartment, and includes a spike protruding into the interior compartment, the spike having an end configured for piercing a membrane. A second plunger is positionable within the barrel, moveable within the interior compartment, and has a pierceable membrane. The second plunger and the second end form a first area housing a first solution and the first and second plungers form a second area housing a second solution. The first and second plungers are slidably arranged within the interior area such that moving the first plunger toward the second plunger causes the spike to pierce the pierceable membrane and push the second solution through the pierced membrane to mix with the first solution.
PEN NEEDLE APPARATUS
A pen needle is disclosed for coupling to a delivery device and piercing a septum on the delivery device. The pen needle includes a collar having a side wall, an open proximal end, and a distal end having a coupling member, a needle hub rotatable independently of the collar, where the proximal end of the needle hub has a coupling member coupled to the distal end of the collar. The collar rotates independently from the needle hub so that the collar screws onto the threaded end of the delivery device while the needle hub does not rotate and the needles advance to pierce a septum of the delivery device without rotating the hub and the needles.
