The invention provides a syringe for dispensing a drug (1), comprising: a rigid syringe body, a first container (2), in contact with and enclosing the drug; and a second container (3), enclosing the first container, the second container being less gas permeable than the first container, wherein the second container partially or fully forms the rigid syringe body or is held within the rigid syringe body. The invention preserves the drug but allows the drug to be easily accessed without the need for a user to remove a gas barrier structure as a separate action in addition to the other actions needed to deliver the drug.

Injector Device

An injector device includes an elongate housing configured to receive container of medicament. The injector device also includes a needle sleeve mounted within the housing and moveable between an extended position in which the needle sleeve at least partially extends from the distal end of the housing, and a retracted position in which the needle sleeve is received further within the housing than in the extended position. The injector device also includes a release mechanism configured to control actuation of a piston rod. The release mechanism includes a rotatable member disposed within the housing and in cooperating engagement with the needle sleeve such that movement of the needle sleeve from the extended position to the retracted position causes the rotatable member to rotate within the housing from a first position to a second position.

Mixing and/or Reconstitution System

A mixing and/or reconstitution system which simplifies the reconstitution and/or mixture of a first material and a second material compared to existing devices. Further it prevents user misuse. The mixing and/or reconstitution system comprisingan adaptor (100, 100, 100, 300),an integrated injection device (140, 340) removably attached to the adaptor (100, 100, 100, 300) comprising a switching element (155, 355),a first reservoir (121, 341) containing a first material, wherein the first material is a fluid, anda trigger (110, 126, 344), wherein the adaptor (100, 100, 100, 300) further comprises a first attachment location, e.g. a recess (101, 301), adapted to attach a vial (160, 360), wherein the vial (160, 360) contains a second material within a second reservoir (161, 361), wherein the second material contains a medicament formulation, a first connection element, e.g. a first needle (107, 307), a flow channel (108, 108a, 308) providing fluid communication of the switching element (155, 355) and the first connection element, a sensing arrangement (104, 117, 346, 385) for detecting a pre-defined position of the vial (160, 360) at the first attachment location, and an interlock element (114, 346) which is adapted to allow operating the trigger (110, 344) in order to establish a fluid communication between the first connection element and the first reservoir (121, 341) only if the sensing arrangement (104, 117, 346, 385) detects the pre-defined position of the vial (160, 360) at the first attachment location.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR FLUID DELIVERY MANIFOLDS
20200276082 · 2020-09-03 ·

A fluid delivery manifold system assembled and configured to allow delivery of a single dose of a therapeutic agent (e.g., vaccine, drug, medicament, etc.) from a Blow-Fill-Seal (BFS) vial to a patient. The delivery assembly generally includes a modular manifold design consisting of separately constructed components cooperatively arranged and coupled to one another. The modular manifold construction allows for rapid manufacturing reconfigurations of one or more components with minimal costs to create new delivery manifold configurations that meet specific needs (i.e., different modes of delivery depending on agent to be delivered, such as subcutaneous, intramuscular, intradermal, intravenous injection, spray, or droplet delivery).

Fluid delivery device and method

A fluid delivery injector comprises a syringe defining a barrel; a plunger and a hollow needle provided within the barrel adapted for linear movement parallel to a longitudinal axis with a distal tip of the needle contained within the syringe. A fluid retention reservoir is defined at least in the barrel and is in fluid communication with the needle when pressure is applied to the fluid in the reservoir and to the plunger for moving the needle out of the barrel. A spring may be provided for retracting the needle when pressure is released from the plunger.
