VIBRATING BASE ASSEMBLY FOR CLEANING CONTACT LENSES
20230136056 · 2023-05-04 · ·

An integrated and standalone vibrating base assembly for cleaning contact lenses having two selective modes of operation, each mode operably configured to produce different preset vibrational rotations per minute, and comprising a base housing defining a housing cavity, with at least one vibration motor disposed within the housing cavity, electrically coupled to a power source, and operably configured to selectively induce a vibration therefrom with at least one switch coupled to the base housing; and a bottom surface and an upper surface spanning inwardly toward the housing cavity from an upper edge of the base housing to define a concave recess sized to receive two contact lens containers, the upper surface of a friction-inducing, deformable, and polymeric material configured to support two contact lens containers and operably coupled to the at least one vibration motor and to receive a vibration thereon upon activation of the at least one switch.

Induced aperture lens and method

Disclosed are lenses and methods for verifying a lens with an induced aperture. The lenses can have a geometry that, among other things, maintains a centered position about a wearer's eye to prevent more than a permissible amount of movement of the lens relative to the eye. Further disclosed is a method for verifying the power profiles used with the lens, and a lens that can have a single power profile for a wide range of presbyopia.

PROTECTIVE LENS HOLDER
20220387170 · 2022-12-08 ·

The present disclosure relates to holders for protecting intraocular lenses and methods of use. The holder includes a posterior wall and an annular wall extending anteriorly from the posterior wall and having an anterior edge. An internal space is defined by the posterior wall and the annular wall. The internal space is sized to receive a lens body of the intraocular lens. The holder also includes a locking feature configured to secure the intraocular lens. At least a portion of the locking feature is anterior to the intraocular lens when positioned in the holder.

Antioxidant Contact Lens

A contact lens having antioxidant properties is described as well as methods of manufacturing the same. The contact lens can be present in a sealed contact lens package. The seal contact lens package can include at least a) a plastic base member having a cavity; b) a contact lens packaging solution in the cavity; c) a sterile, unworn contact lens immersed in the contact lens packaging solution in the cavity; and d) a cover that forms a liquid-tight seal with the plastic base member. As an example, the unworn contact lens is a silicone hydrogel contact lens having present therein vitamin E. The vitamin E is non-releasable from the unworn contact lens and the contact lens packaging solution has less than 1 ppm of vitamin E present. The vitamin E is trapped, embedded, absorbed, or non-covalently attached in the unworn contact lens.

SINGLE TOUCH CONTACT LENS CASE

The present invention relates to contact lens cases which allow the lens to be removed from the lens case with a single touch. The lenses cases comprise a lens support which holds the lens in a convex position. When package is drained there is less contact area between the support and wetted contact lens, than between the user’s finger and the contact lens, providing the desired one touch transfer.

Disposable packaging for at least one contact lens

A disposable packaging for at least one contact lens. The disposable packaging has at least one molded structure which forms at least one product cavity for accommodating the contact lens. The molded structure has at least one cleaning chamber having a cleaning system for cleaning and/or disinfecting fingers. The cleaning system includes a cleaning pad which absorbs and holds cleaning and/or disinfecting agent, the cleaning pad being fixed in the cleaning chamber and the surface of said pad being exposed when the cleaning chamber is opened.

CONTACT LENS PACKAGING CONTAINER AND CONTACT LENS PRODUCT
20230371668 · 2023-11-23 ·

A contact lens packaging container and a contact lens product are provided. The contact lens packaging container is formed by a plastic material and a color powder material dispersed in the plastic material. The contact lens packaging container has a light blocking rate of not less than 20% under a wavelength measurement range between 380 nanometers and 780 nanometers through a spectrophotometer.

Multi-Material Lens Package

There is described a contact lens package containing a bowl for holding a contact lens and a flange around the bowl which may be made from a different polymer material than the bowl. The packages comprise at least one interface tab with at least one slot so that the second polymer material forming the flange can encapsulate the tab providing a mechanical interlock displaying good flexural strength.

CROSSLINKED POLYMERIC NETWORK AND USE THEREOF

A packaging system for the storage of an ophthalmic device includes a sealed container containing one or more unused ophthalmic devices immersed in an aqueous packaging solution comprising one or more crosslinked polymeric networks. The one or more crosslinked polymeric network comprises a reaction product of a first glycosaminoglycan, a second glycosaminoglycan, and a first crosslinking agent, wherein the first glycosaminoglycan is different than the second glycosaminoglycan. The aqueous packaging solution has an osmolality of at least about 180 mOsm/kg, a pH of about 6 to about 9 and is heat sterilized
