Dose Setting Mechanism and Drug Delivery Device Herewith
The present invention is generally directed to a dose setting mechanism and a drug delivery device herewith, i.e. a handheld injection device for selecting and dispensing a number of user variable doses of a medicament. The dose setting mechanism comprises a dose setting member (50) rotatable relative to a housing (10, 20) in a first direction for dose setting and in an opposite second direction for dose correcting, a cam ring (150) and a coupling member (70) coupled to a drive member (110). A ramped interface (52, 152) is provided between the dose setting member (50) and the cam ring (150) such that rotation of the dose setting member (50) relative to the cam ring (150) in the second direction causes axial displacement of the cam ring (150).
Drug Delivery Device with Air-in-Cartridge Safety Feature
A drug delivery device adapted to receive a drug-filled cartridge (10), comprising dose setting means allowing a user to set a desired dose of drug to be expelled, an electronic controller (70,270) adapted to control a motor (51) to move a drive member to thereby expel an amount of drug from a received cartridge corresponding to a set dose, and means for estimating the amount of free air in a loaded cartridge. The controller is adapted to detect an error state if the estimated amount of free air in the cartridge is larger than or equals a given percentage of the amount of drug corresponding to a set dose.
SPACE SAVING DRUG INJECTION DEVICE
The present disclosure relates to an injection device for setting and dispensing of a dose of a medicament, the device including an elongated housing to accommodate a cartridge filled with the medicament and sealed with a piston, a piston rod extending along a first axis and being threadedly or slidingly engaged with the housing to apply a distally directed thrust to the piston of the cartridge, a drive member rotationally or threadedly engaged with the piston rod and having a wheel section or geared section, and a drive sleeve extending along a second axis at a radial distance from the first axis and having a geared section to mesh with the wheel section or geared section of the drive member, wherein a first radial distance between first and second axes at a distal end of the drive sleeve differs from a second radial distance between first and second axes at a proximal end of the drive sleeve.
Drug delivery device
A drug delivery device comprising; a housing; a cylindrical member configured to be rotatably supported inside the housing, wherein the outer surface of the cylindrical member is provided with a track comprising a sequence of encoded images; and a sensor directed at the track of the cylindrical member and configured to detect features of the encoded images.
TRIGGERING INJECTION STATUS INFORMATION DISPLAY ON A MOBILE DEVICE VIA TAPPING THE HOUSING OF A SKIN-ATTACHABLE DRUG INJECTION DEVICE
A skin attachable drug injection device (1), comprising an accelerometer (26) able to detect the user tapping against the housing (2) of the device and to generate an electrical signal to the device controller (16), which recognizes the signal as a user request for information regarding the ongoing delivery of the medicament, and a transmitter (30) which in response wirelessly transmits said information (e.g. the expected remaining during of the injection) to a separate portable user device having a display (e.g. mobile phone). A user carrying the injection device under clothing can thus receive feedback about the status of the injection in a discreet way.
MECHANISM FOR SETTING A MAXIMUM DOSE OF A MEDICAMENT FOR A VARIABLE DOSE DRUG DELIVERY DEVICE
The present disclosure concerns a mechanism for setting a dose of a medicament for a variable dose drug delivery device, comprising: a housing, a sleeve component configured to rotate relative to the housing during a dose setting operation, and a stop member which is configured to limit a total amount of possible rotation of the sleeve component to a maximum and, thereby, to limit a maximum settable dose, wherein the stop member is configured to allow varying the maximum which determines the total amount of possible rotation of the sleeve component.
Small syringe with enhanced readability
A modified syringe barrel as a component for a syringe assembly. The barrel's outer wall bears a longitudinally-aligned projection which extends laterally and outwardly away from the barrel, thereby providing added surface for syringe indicia presentation, including elements of a graduated scale. The effect is a more flattened view of syringe markings for significant improvement in readability.
Medicament Injection Device
The present disclosure relates to medicament injection devices. An injection device includes: a movable dosage programming component comprising a rotary encoder system having a predefined angular periodicity, a sensor arrangement including a first optical sensor configured to detect movement of the movable dosage programming component relative to the sensor arrangement during dosing of a medicament, wherein the first optical sensor is configured to operate in a strobe-sampling mode at a first frequency, a second optical sensor configured to detect movement of the rotary encoder system relative to the second optical sensor wherein the second optical sensor is configured to operate in a strobe-sampling mode at a second frequency lower than the first frequency, and a processor arrangement configured to, based on the detected movement, determine a medicament dosage administered by the injection device.
Device for attachment to an injection device
A supplementary device configured to be releasably attached to a drug delivery device. The supplementary device comprises a housing having a channel configured to slidably receive the drug delivery device; a first alignment feature to ensure a specific alignment of the supplementary device relative to the drug delivery device and restrict rotational movement of the supplementary device around a drug delivery device; and a second alignment feature to prevent sliding movement of the supplementary device relative to the delivery device once attached thereto. The second alignment feature comprises a moveable securing member biased towards the drug delivery device, and a release member operable to move the securing member out of engagement with the drug delivery device.
State indicator and drug delivery device with a state indicator and a method for manufacturing a drug delivery device
The present disclosure relates to a state indicator designed for indicating at least three states (S1 to Sn) of a drug delivery device and formed as a single indicator for indicating a respective state (S1 to Sn) at least before injection, during injection and after injection.
