Injector capable of suppressing subsequent dripping of fluid
An injector comprises a cylindrical barrel, a movable body housed in the barrel, and a plunger coming into separable contact with the movable body. The movable body includes a main body having an outer diameter smaller than an inner diameter of the barrel, a disk-shaped seal body disposed on the main body and including an outer circumferential end brought into close contact with an inner circumferential surface of the barrel, and at least one projecting portion projecting from the main body toward the inner circumferential surface of the barrel. A distance from a central axis of the movable body to a leading end of the at least one projecting portion is smaller than a half of an outer diameter of the seal body.
BOTULINUM TOXIN PREFILLED CONTAINER
The present invention relates to a prefilled glass container, such as a prefilled glass syringe, comprising an aqueous botulinum toxin formulation. The aqueous botulinum toxin formulation in the prefilled container is stable at low to ambient temperature for a prolonged time period. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a kit comprising the botulinum toxin prefilled container, and to the use of the botulinum toxin prefilled container in therapeutic and cosmetic applications.
COMPONENT FOR A SYRINGE AND SYRINGE
A component for a syringe is disclosed. The component has formed a structure which has a friction-reducing effect due to its shape in the syringe. The component can be, for example, a cylinder, a piston or a seal for the syringe. The structure comprises, for example, elevations or depressions which have a linear, punctiform, elliptical or polygonal design. Also disclosed is a syringe which has at least one such component. The use of a component with a friction-reducing structure makes it unnecessary to use an additional friction-reducing coating, for example silicone, which can lead to undesirable effects on the medicament to be administered with the syringe.
APPARATUS AND SYSTEM FOR FLUID DELIVERY
An apparatus for delivering fluid from a fluid container comprises a housing to which a fluid container is attachable, a slider movably disposed in the housing and a resilient having a first end connected to the housing and a second end connected to the slider. Upon receiving an external force, the slider moves relative to the housing from a first position toward a second position to deform the resilient member from an original state to a deformed state, and upon release of the external force, the resilient member is allowed to resume to the original state to move the slider toward the first position to urge the slider against the fluid container to deliver fluid from the fluid container under a constant fluid flow rate.
Syringe and syringe gasket
A gasket includes a flexible packing portion having a recess attached to a coupler of a plunger rod, and a core member harder than the packing portion. The recess has an internal circumferential surface with an internally threaded portion capable of being screwed on and thus engaging with an externally threaded portion provided on an external circumferential surface of the coupler. The core member has a helical shape defining the internal circumferential surface of the recess and the internally threaded portion provided on the internal circumferential surface. The packing portion defines a sliding surface brought into contact with an inner circumferential surface of a barrel, and the packing portion also covers an outer circumferential surface of the core member.
RFID TAG ENABLED NEEDLE SHIELD
The present invention relates to an RDID tag enabled needle shield assembly that provides a sterile enclosure of an injection needle and that can be fixedly attached to a pre-filled syringe for administering an injection of medicament to a patient after removal of the needle shield assembly. The RFID tag is fixedly attached to the needle shield through co-molding or another form of permanent attachment. The present invention also relates to a method of tracking the life cycle of a medicament injection device where the RFID tag enabled needle shield assembly is attached to an injection needle that is connected to a syringe barrel that is part of an injection device. Data is written to or read from the RFID tag during the entire life cycle of the injection device, including assembly, packaging, storing, distribution and use.
Multi-functional syringe plunger and method of use
A fat-harvesting syringe having a multi-functional plunger assembly. The plunger assembly comprises an outer plunger rod body, an inner central plunger rod and a piston seal assembly. The outer plunger rod body having a first and a second end. The first end having a central lumen all at its finger grip handle and at the second end having flanges that are expandable. Once the central plunger inner rod is inserted fully into central lumen of plunger rod body, the expandable flanges expands and engages with the piston seal assembly. Also when the inner plunger rod is retracted, the plunger body flanges retract back and disengages from piston seal assembly.
GASKET, AND MEDICAL SYRINGE
A gasket is provided, which is laminated with an inert resin film and has a reduced sliding resistance and a higher liquid sealability. The gasket (10) is used for a medical syringe (30), and includes a main body (11) made of an elastic material and an inert resin film (12) provided on a surface of the main body (11). The gasket (10) has a short cylindrical shape, and includes a plurality of annular ribs (13, 14, 15) provided on an outer circumferential surface (20) thereof and each having a sliding contact portion (16) to be kept in sliding contact with an inner peripheral surface of a syringe barrel. The plurality of annular ribs are axially arranged from a distal end to a rear end of the gasket (10). The sliding contact portion (16) of a distal annular rib (13) has a width that is 1 to 25% of a length of the outer circumferential surface (20) of the cylindrical gasket as measured axially of the gasket.
Pre-filled pharmaceutical package comprising a liquid formulation of a VEGF-antagonist
A pre-filled pharmaceutical package comprising a liquid formulation of a VEGF-antagonist, for example Ranibizumab, in a pre-filled pharmaceutical package, for example a syringe, cartridge, or vial, made in part or in whole of a thermoplastic polymer, coated on the interior with a tie coating or layer, a barrier coating or layer, a pH protective coating or layer, and optionally a lubricity coating or layer. Stability performance of the VEGF-antagonist packaged in the coated COP vessel comparable to or better than glass was obtained.
Syringe barrel and pre-filled syringe
A syringe barrel includes: a hollow body portion that is configured such that a gasket is slidably insertable therein. The syringe barrel is made of a resin that has a total light transmittance of 80% or more. A scale is disposed at an inner circumferential surface or an outer circumferential surface of the body portion, the scale being visible from an outside of the syringe barrel and being configured to indicate a liquid amount. The scale is formed by (i) a stepped structure having a step height in a range of 0.001 to 0.15 mm in a radial direction, and/or (ii) an embossment.
