Succinylcholine Chloride Prefilled Syringe
20230137986 · 2023-05-04 ·

Prefilled syringes containing a succinylcholine chloride composition, where the prefilled syringes comprise a syringe barrel and a syringe tip comprising cyclic olefin monopolymer (“COP”) or cyclic olefin copolymer (“COC”). The syringes can also comprise a luer adapter integral with the syringe tip, where the syringe barrel, syringe tip and luer adapter are a single element comprising COP or COC. The succinylcholine chloride compositions include succinylcholine chloride, a tonicity agent and one or more pH adjusters in an aqueous solution having a pH from about 3.0-4.5. The prefilled syringes containing the succinylcholine compositions are storage-stable for extended periods of time at a temperature of 2-8° C., have acceptable physical parameters such as glide force and break force, and make safe and robust connections with needles and needleless luer adapter devices (“NLADs”).

THERMOFORMED MEDICAL SYRINGE
20230136282 · 2023-05-04 ·

A single use syringe is disclosed that can be manufactured with minimal time and expense. The barrel is, in one example, compressive thermoformed by extruded tubing and with a resilient wall. The plunger can also be thermoformed. A fluid seal can be established between the resilient barrel sidewall and a rigid plunger sealing ring. The open, proximal end of the barrel is thermally flanged to maintain the barrel's configuration and provide a flange for gripping. The syringe can have non-circular cross sectional shapes, multiple lumens and multiple indentations to provide for a wide range of specific uses.

Leak-Free Stopper Having Low Breakloose and Sustaining Forces

A thermoplastic elastomer stopper that meets the desired material properties of a stopper for a syringe assembly is disclosed. The compression set of the thermoplastic elastomer stopper of the present disclosure is ≤50% when measured at 25% compression for 22 hrs at 70 degree C. The hardness of the thermoplastic elastomer stopper of the present disclosure is 40-70 Shore A. The viscosity of a thermoplastic elastomer stopper of the present disclosure is ≥70 Pa.Math.s at 1,000 s.sup.−1 shear rate, ≥12.0 Pa.Math.s at 10,000 s.sup.−1 shear rate, and ≥3.0 Pa.Math.s at 50,000 s.sup.−1 shear rate when measured using a capillary rheometer at 205 degree C. (Die: Roundhole 20 mm length/1 mm diameter/180 degree inlet, Piston: d=15 mm, and melting time=7 min). The present non-lubricated stopper exhibits the required functional performance of a lubricated stopper.
